Small and powerful. But often gets heated while transferring the files.

Great for backing up image files when I am traveling. An effective and inexpensive solution. Light and compact. In fact this portable drive is so small I will have to be extra careful not to lose it.

My Chromebook doesn’t have much internal storage, making this Sandisk USB-C thumb drive the perfect solution. There’s no tricky software or drives to install upon first use, which is always a plus. It’s so small too; perfect for keychains. When you swivel the drive open or closed, it locks in place, which is nice as I’ve had plenty in the past get torn off their hinges after rotating around in my pockets. All in all, this is a great piece of hardware for USB-C devices.

Works fine, lasts a long time. I don’t know if it is the fastest Speed Racer on the block but it is plenty fast enough for me. I use it to run diagnostic software on my job and the 1TB capacity is great if I have to transfer large files via sneaker-net. One addition I did make was adding a Chippolo tracker because I keep misplacing it.

i love ideal that can either type c and type a usb flash drive

Read the fine print. Write speed is not real fast.
Robbie Sipes (verified owner) –
It certainly is nice to have both Type-C and Type-A built in. But it’s not a speed hound. Good price and beats not having backup capacity.

Very flexible and sturdy flash drive that can be used for backing up important files on your computer.
Daphney Fahey (verified owner) –
my files are always backed up!

Not very fast, but perfect as a Time Machine backup disk for my MacBook Pro M1.
Laisha Bradtke (verified owner) –
Ok so the USB Type-A port worked just fine and it was fast. BUT the Type-C side did not work at all and wouldn’t mount on my MacBook Pro nor iPad Pro. Also, the device got so hot I could barely hold it; leading me to question the durability of the drive. Heat kills drive.

This is so handy! Everyone needs one of these!

Technology is certainly amazing. 256GB on an incredibly tiny all-metal device that supports both USB Type-A and Type-C for $32?. I still remember 140KB floppies. This is the equivalent of 1.8 million of them. Or the equivalent of 320,000 800Kb Mac 3.5 floppies. If you’re using it on a Mac (only) and plan to put very large files on it (like video files), you’ll need to reformat the drive using the Mac’s Disk Utility. The native PC format doesn’t support very large files. But if you do that, you won’t be able to use the drive on a PC. (This has nothing to do with any limitations of the drive, but rather is a limitation of Microsoft’s file formats.)

Stylish and useful whats not to like?

Greate unit with nice space and excellent speed. Useful for creating recovery USB with 3.1 compatibility. It gets a little bit hot when in operation.

This product is amazing. It stores 1 TB in a tiny package and it is very fast; I verified performance with several speed testing programs. What I like most is that it is compatible with both types of ports.

I always had the best luck with Sandisk products and this little bugger is no exception, indispensable when moving between computers and for rural geeks who must trek 25 miles to Best Buy each way for their free Wifi uploads.

Works just fine ….. does what it was made to do ….

I downloaded some images to this drive and it got hot. Removed the drive and allowed it to cool but it would not register in three different computers. Gave it two days and tried again without any luck. The drive became too hot to handle just from being plugged in. I will be returning it as defective.

So I transferred about 50 gb of video footage to this, and it got very very hot, basically had to either move quickly or use a cloth between my fingers and hands to touch this ’cause it’s way too hot to the touch after working it out a bit. Feels well built and snaps one way or another quite nicely but ouch if you give it a workout
