As the subject says, this SanDisk flash drive has a full terabyte of storage on a small stick that works in both Type-A and Type-C USB ports. I needed this to be able to port a music collection to a laptop that doesn’t have enough space to hold the music on the internal SSD. This small form unit perfectly hits the mark. One point to be aware of is the heat. Because of the size, once you begin copying a large amount of data to the drive, the shell gets warm. As it warms up the speed decreases to protect from thermal damage. This only happened while copying the data to the flash drive. I had no thermal issue while playing music files that were stored on the flash drive. You should have no trouble formatting this as NTFS or exFAT, or something else depending on your OS and your needs.

Received these and used a couple to hold a number of my travel photos. They feel heavy duty and better than most everything else on the market. I know I can trust SanDisk, also.

very good product, good price

The unit once plugged into a PC begins to heat up and disengages from the drive repeatedly. Do no purchase this produce.

First off I can honestly say that I absolutely love this flash drive. I’ve been moving a whole bunch of my video files from smaller flash drives onto this 1TB Flash Drive. It is just hard to believe that this small flash drive holds this much and very fast on top of that. This little 1TB SanDisk is just totally awesome. This is a must buy at B&H.

The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive is a fair item at a fair price. The average write speed I got for the four pieces I bought was about 59 MB/sec on Crystal Disk Mark, which is good for cheaper sticks. It works fine plugged into my Android phone. It’s metal, and when you swing between the two interfaces there’s a nice, secure snap-in-place. As many note, it does get hot with a lot of activity. But, all small, low mass drives get hot similarly. Think of it as good heat conduction that’s keeping the chip cooler. Perfect for my keyring. Would buy again.

I like the compact nature of this device so i bought it but man does this get hot. It works thought, just wanted to make this known.

I bought several of these to deliver raw footage to my videography clients, and I really appreciate the flexibility of having both a USB C and A option! They’re solid, look great, process data fast, and have a lot of space for my needs. One note, I had to simply reformat them from FAT to exFAT in order to fit large video files onto them (mine were over 9gb), but that only took 30 seconds or less.

IT’S HARD TO REMOVE BECAUSE IT GETS REALLY HOT. Sorry for the caps, but I almost burned myself. Choose a different one.

This SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe USB TYPE-C is the perfect little storage device to have for an over flow catcher when it comes to saving pictures and videos to that you just can’t bear to part with on your phone. Just move them over and free up space on your device while keeping your precious memories safe.

Nice usb stick, gets warm but not boiling hot like others. Real workd speeds are quite lower, more like 20 for write and 40-60 read. Tiny files are faster.

I just got my 128gb order yesterday June 23, and I am happy for that! I recommend this product!

It does everything it’s supposed to do, it’s fast and it’s elegant, and it can be clipped on a key ring or on a ring in a computer bag. My only caveat is that it’s so small it’s easy to lose in a pocket or somewhere else if you’re the kind of person who misplaces things. For me, it’s terrific and I love SanDisk products. Now, if you add an Apple AirTag, it’s a five star home run.

Useful to open files on your iPad device. I would recommend buying for photographers and illustrators.

Did not expect to have a usb (square) interface. Not sure about the data transfer speed.

Device works as intended, but it will get *very* hot after just a few minutes of usage.
Mylene Gleichner (verified owner) –
Small, durable, and very fast. So far satisfied with it.

Easy to use, compact and flexible. Will buy again!

Needed storage for audio and music projects on my MacBook Pro. These are perfect and I received them faster than I would have from Amazon for a lower cost. Great deal.
