The SSD Plus SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from SanDisk quickly delivers 1TB of storage capacity for your notebook or desktop. The SSD provides sequential reads of up to 535 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 450 MB/s to offer faster boot times and faster access to your data than a traditional spinning hard drive. It is compatible with systems sporting a SATA III interface and an available 2.5″ / 7mm drive bay.
SanDisk has included a SanDisk SSD Dashboard app that helps you maintain the drive’s performance by offering tools for analyzing the drive and listing S.M.A.R.T. attributes. To enable burst write performance, SLC caching is also offered. Moreover, cloning software is provided to help you quickly set up this drive.

Laptop boots in ten seconds. Breathes performance in an old laptop. Well worth the money.

I purchased this product to replace my old drive and its seems to be very good. Says runs a bit faster without any latency related to opening applications and processing data.

I use this to pull images off my CF cards for photo import, and editing before moving to mass storage. Used as an intermediate phase, it has saved me many many hours of time, vs importing and editing on a traditional 7200rpm drive.

My SanDisk 480GB SSD failed in the first year of use. I was very happy with the performance of this drive until it stopped working. SanDisk did offer to replace the drive at no cost but the whole experience was so disruptive I didn’t bother sending it back for a replacement. The cost of the drive was nothing compared to the cost of its failure. With all the time spent recovering files, lost work, and downtime. No thanks! Not going to risk it again.

Very reasonably priced and performs very well. The SSD brought new life to an older PC that now has many more years of service in it.

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

After a lot of bench-marking (see image)…this drive has a terrible sustained rewrite speed. This Drive: Firmware: UH5100RL SusWrite @10s intervals: 286 240 158 46 49 37 MB/s My 4 yr old Crucial 250GB SSD SusWrite @10s intervals: 341 284 286 291 295 294 MB/s

I had a tower machine with a 256gb SSD that I upgraded to this SanDisk 1TB SSD. I plugged the SanDisk SSD into a NewerTech Voyager dock and cloned the 256GB drive to the 1TB drive with Acronis True Image. Then I turned off the tower and swapped the SSDs. Piece of cake!

A while ago, I put a smaller SanDisk in an old computer, which decreased its boot time from something like several minutes down to 30 sec or so. I bought the disk at the time assuming it was just OK but good enough, but it turned out to work as well as higher priced brands I’d been using in another computer. When the SanDisk 1TB drive was offered for the reduced price, I had no qualms about snapping one up. Testing with HD Tach shows the SanDisk’speed to be comparable. I am using it as a back-up drive, and it has reduced time for a backup from a couple hours with a spinning platter drive down to about 30 minutes.

Using it for video editing, and it has covered everything I’ve thrown at it. My computer is a bit older (2013 MacPro – trashcan), and sometimes slows a bit, but that seems to be the computer and not this drive. So far, it’s been great.

The SanDisk SSD has stabilized my 2012 MacBook Pro and stopped the spinning beach ball. I am using Photoshop and two other photo retouch programs at the same time and I am pleased with the performance and it helps with the speed.

Installed in my pc like a breeze. Just remember to snag a sata III power cable separately since these don’t come with one!

it is fast and easy to install. However the packaging is pretty bare as it only comes with the SSD and an optional mounting bracket.
