The SSD Plus SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from SanDisk quickly delivers 1TB of storage capacity for your notebook or desktop. The SSD provides sequential reads of up to 535 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 450 MB/s to offer faster boot times and faster access to your data than a traditional spinning hard drive. It is compatible with systems sporting a SATA III interface and an available 2.5″ / 7mm drive bay.
SanDisk has included a SanDisk SSD Dashboard app that helps you maintain the drive’s performance by offering tools for analyzing the drive and listing S.M.A.R.T. attributes. To enable burst write performance, SLC caching is also offered. Moreover, cloning software is provided to help you quickly set up this drive.

I’m using this drive for short-term storage and editing of video files. It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a modern budget SSD – comparable speeds to the other SATA drives in my system, physically very flimsy. The entire body is plastic and you can flex it in your hands. This doesn’t matter.

really fast data transfer at a good price

I have EVO850 that has trim problem and slow down on read/write as one use the drive. I paid more for the brand name but since I use Linux exclusively, it turned out to be a complete waste of money. Samsung’s official stand is that they do not support Linux. This inexpensive old drive performs just as well without discard/trim problem. I cannot tell difference in performance in real world setting at all, so if you want something that work, get this one it is a killer deal.

Drive started to develop bad sectors after a few months, and when I attempted to use the SanDisk utility to generate a SMART report, it simply reported Failed…. When I contacted SanDisk to request an RMA–having already removed the drive so that I could take photos of the front and back of the drive per their requirements–they then made the RMA process too onerous, requesting that I attempt to put the drive back into service and re-attempt another SMART report.

Nothing like breathing new life to an aging system. Doesn’t feel aged at all after this upgrade. I got this for my aging MacMini 2012 and what can I say, it works! And as usual, SSD performance vs standard Apple drives, no complaints here!

I replaced a slow hard drive inside a nettop computer hoping this will give the most boost in performance and I was correct. I am running Linux on that machine, and usually it’s the loading time very long, not the execution time on this computer. After replacement, the response is similiar to more powerful machines I have and better than a laptop with much higher hardware spec. This drive is light and plastic, so no worry about short circuit when putting it inside a computer.

Our Dell Latitude 15 5000 had the standard hard drive that came in it and it was extremely slow. We installed this drive and it immediately made the laptop fast and usable. Chatted with Sandisk Support about the software needed to clone the old drive. It worked great and booted up the first time faster than it ever has. iTunes now opens in a couple of seconds where it had been taking more than 30 seconds and would sometimes fail.

It will make an old computer operate like new.

I got this product to use it in an old computer, so I didn’t buy the higher edition. Since the computer was old, I didn’t get high performance, but I believe it’s very fast disk.

I have used Spinning hard drives in the past but the cost of SSDs have been dropping enough that I can afford to start start replacing them with a more rugged drive.

Got this drive to work with my Atomos Shogun Inferno and EVA-1. Can handle everything except PR RAW HQ at 240p- everything else is good. Way cheaper than the 12 bit capable drives.
