The USB-C interface makes this drive extremely fast for moving a lot of files to make space on my laptop’s hard drive or large files for back-up.

Not only is this SSD fast, the capacity is amazing. 2TB in a package not much bigger than a lighter. I’m using it to backup multiple laptops and still have lots of remaining unused capacity.

Very small size with a large storage space

Purchased this to use as a backup for an Apple MAC Pro. Formatted and worked perfect out of the box. Backup using Time Machine was quick and simple.

Not much to say about it. I like that it’s USB-C, so it frees up an old USB port on my tablet. Otherwise, it just works.

Product is very light and the read/write speed is fast. I’m buying some more for sure.

Lightweight easy to set up. Secure and works great. Now if only my cats can stop chewing the wires.

Way smaller than a comparable external drive. And lighter. Hope it is more robust too.

Great little device! Really fast loading, and easy retrieval too! One can really appreciate this kind of storage when having been around memory devices for several years like I have… how far we have come!

The transfer speed with this drive is fast and the small size is great for carrying along with a laptop. I have always had good luck with SanDisk products, so I am expecting this to work well for a long time.

Let’s say you’re out and about or traveling or backpacking…you want to keep the weight down. Great for backing up photos and videos if you bring a small laptop with you. Super fast. You could probably work off of this. So far, I’ve only edited raw photos off of it. Haven’t tried any video work. The pictures will fool your eyes. This thing is tinyyy and super thin for all that storage space.

This is easily the best SSD you can get. Its super fast, comes with all the right cables, its tiny, and its water and dust resistant on top of that. The one thing that would have been nice to see is a little cover/flap over the usb c port for extra protection against the element.

Prices are now making these small HD affordable and the lack of moving parts to break down makes these HD’s now more reliable. I’m impressed with the small size and large capacity.

purchased for Time machine backups for MACs. To use with time machine, you must erase the drive as it comes from SanDisk and start as a blank drive. Works well. Faster than standard drive. Back up speed depends on your version of USB port. Took longer than expected to back up from OLD mac but uploading to NEW mac is fast. 300+ GB in a little over 2 hrs!

This couldn’t have been more catastrophic. I bought this drive 2 months ago. It was my first SSD after years of using spinning disk hard drives. After reading about how reliable SSDs are I was lulled into a false sense of security, and I didn’t perform regular backups like I normally do. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE THAT I WILL REGRET FOREVER. After two months of indoor use, this drive failed catastrophically and quickly. One moment it just ejected itself. When I plugged it back in, all my files were visible but couldn’t be opened. I tried again. Now the whole drive wasn’t mounting. I tried different cables, restarting the computer, and talking to SanDisk customer support who were absolutely USELESS. Ultimately, I had to send the drive to a data recovery centre at huge expense. They diagnosed the problem as something wrong with the memory cards inside the drive. Most of my files were completely corrupted and unable to be recovered. If only I could turn back time, I would never EVER have bought this drive. It works great until it doesn’t. When it doesn’t, its catastrophic. Steer clear. Buy from another brand. This Extreme Portable SSD couldn’t even handle two months of indoor use in a climate controlled room.

I use this as storage on my BMPCC4K, found out too late that it is hard to find a convenient mounting solution. Buy the Samsung. Otherwise ab excellent product.

Small, light-weight, and easy to handle. At first I was a little worried about the short cable until I realized that it doesn’t have to be longer. This device is so light that there is no pulling on the cable.

This drive is extremely small, light weight, fast, and refractory to dropping. It is great for traveling and for an additional home backup as well.
