No setup. Just plug it into a USB-3 port and go. I used the type-c port on the computer for the first time and was impressed with the data transfer rate. It included an adapter to allow use in a conventional USB-3 port. It’s silent huge capacity and very tiny. Great product.

I wanted an SSD storage device that would be formatted as EXFAT so I could add video files from a MAC to someone using a PC without having to partition the drive. Not only did that meet my needs but the item was in sale with no S&H charge. A win all around!

I bought this card specifically for editing videos off of. It’s not fast enough to write to from my Blackmagic cameras, but I didn’t expect it to be. Perfect for an edit drive being that it’s very durable. Also, much smaller than a 2.5 SSD. Long gone are the days of spinning drives and USB-micro. This thing will hold up for a long time!

This has been a life saver for 4K video edits on the road. I no longer have to carry around a huge raid drive and a power supply.

and it is a good experience so far. I’ve only used spinning drives thus far and this is definitely an upgrade. It’s compact, fast, and feels like it can take a beating as compared to spinning drives. Tip: If you want to reformat this ssd to apples new filing system, APFS, choose “show all devices” in disk utility and choose the parent folder of this drive to erase.

Fast, small , does its job perfectly. I keep my photos on a non SSD disk and I transfer the files containing the photos I wish to edit onto this rapid ssd filter. I appreciated the rapid shipment too.

The Sandisk 1 TB Extreme SSD is a great little powerhouse and works very well with both my iMac and MacBook Pro. Storing and retrieving image files is super quick and it’s capacity is generous. On the fly, it’s hard to beat for storage and back-up of my imagefiles.

This is a very nice unit. Very small and light, much smaller and lighter than I expected. SO easy to throw in my backpack. The only strange thing about my unit was that the logo was partially worn off when I received it, but that doesn’t affect how it performs. I highly recommend this SSD for anyone who needs fast, light weight storage.

OK This thing is Tiny! Bought it to test out using an SSD with video editing in FCP X and DaVinci Resolve. Blazing in FCP X – Noticably faster with GPU hungry Resolve. you can hang it on your keychain.

I love how small and indestructible this bad boy is. I can edit RAW 4K footage from a RED on it at 50% res. Not bad when you are on the go, which is me 99% of the time. It does get pretty hot though… that is probably the only downside.

Works great with my M1 Mac mini while editing in iMovie. I recommend it. It’s not the fastest or the biggest but it gets the job done. I’m using it to put GoPro footage on, then trim down in iMovie.
