I finally invested my time to do some research and found that this just released this year at CES or something kinda figured it be the best solution for the price comparing it with a Samsung t5. Great read and write speeds. Just blazing fast.

Copying files over can be a chore, so help yourself and grab the fastest connection you can get and move over those files. In my case, since I had a true USB-C connector, I just needed to connect my PC, and I was good to go. Sustained write speeds of 370 MB/second. I’m NOT using this as a daily, but rather for remote storage purposes.

Way smaller and lighter than the equivalent hard disk drive. Great for travel.

I bought 4 of these in early 2019 for a month long trip to India. I knew I needed about 4TB of total storage, and space and weight were going to be key considerations, as I was traveling with 3 Sony mirrorless bodies, 5 lenses, and a current MacBook pro laptop. These SSD drives are expensive now, but I viewed it as an investment for future trips, and a necessity for this one. They weigh very little and take up a fraction of the space that the equivalent capacity Lacie portable spinning drives which I previously used did. The extremely fast download and back up speed is another huge plus. If you can afford them and need speedy transfer and small form factor and minimal weight – this is what to get!

Great little portable drive that’s surprisingly small and transfer files at a very fast rate.

The drive is very compact and is reasonably fast. I haven’t dunked it, but the case looks impervious to water. I do have a complaint about the cable and adapter that were included with the drive. The adapter contact is very loose and disconnected at the slightest touch. (when I complained, B&H quickly and graciously sent a replacement cable.)

Love this! Super compact and durable. I can leave it just sort of hanging from my computer and store it easily next to my card reader when I travel. Adds a ton of space to supplement my too-full hard drive and pictures load faster in Camera RAW through this than my HD.

I checked a few manufacturers before choosing SANDISK. It was the only one which was water-proof certified. I was pleasantly surprised by the size / weight of the drive (it’s a shame that it’s not specified anywhere on the web-site!). It also turned to be quite fast, not 500MB/sec, but up-to 250 without any problems (I measured the speed while backing up my MacBook Pro). Highly recommend!

Very disappointed that this all of a sudden crashed and became corrupted while working on a project. I was unable to repair it, unmount it, or even erase it. I’d look into getting it replaced, but at this point I’d rather go with something that’s reliable. I’d rather not have this happen again.

Very small and fast. Will fit in a shirt pocket. Handy for on the go backups. uses a USB-C or A adapter. Backup drives are getting better and better and the prices are also getting better.
