I’m a happy 2Tb Extreme Pro V1 user and just bought a V2. I was expect to have a similar performance as V1 does. However, MAC is not supporting V2 yet. So, don’t buy it till Mac support this SSD!

It does what I need it to do. B&H is my go to when it comes to electronics.

I bought 2 of these and I like them as far as speed and weight but the sockets are so badly designed that the cables constantly pop out or just don’t sit inside the socket well enough to even mount in the first place. I have to use an elastic hair tie to hold the cable onto the hard drive with pressure otherwise it just wont mount or stay attached. I tried 3 different cables, same result. I’m no engineer but to me the socket simply isn’t deep enough because there is a clear gap between the end of the cable mount and the edge of the drive, whereas my other SSD drives (Samsung) sit flush with the cable and I never have this issue with mounting. Personally it’s enough of an issue that I will not buy any more Sandisks.

Small yet fast perfect for travel!

This is my second extreme ssd, the first is still running strong. This v2 version is faster and an all around fantastic drive. They are a bit expensive but worth every penny for me.

Being able to offload my footage quickly onto one of these portable SSDs and then bring it with me on the go is a game changer. Being able to hook it right up to any computer and play back and edit that footage with ease is amazing.

Bought and tested all SSD’s in this price range, and this was hands down the best. Best performance, reliability, and looks too! We like this one so much, we bought 12 to start our fleet.

You are paying for the speed and the size. If you need both, this is a great drive.

Bought to use on my Mac Book pro ! Noticeably faster than version one!

Meant to order the pro version, somehow got this one. It was a problem getting Mac Monterey 12.01 to format the drive. Fortunately the Monterey OS recently came out with version 12.1 which fixed the problem. If you have an older version of an OS, you won’t have a problem. I love these ssd drives for their size.

This worked great on a recent trip. Was able to backup photos from my laptop so I had an extra copy of all my photos. Works well, easy to connect and transfer files. Very small and easy to pack.

Just added this drive to my system for audio production. Very fast. And B&H always has the best price and great customer support.

The drive appears to have data on it – we used 2 of them to clone footage and stills during a shoot. The cloning was done on an Intel Macbook Pro. But back at the studio, the drive (formatted in old school journaled and not APFS) had immediate issues. No QuickTime movies were viewable… disk utility could not unmount, repair, or format the drive. Can’t throw the drive into the trash, and launching a .mov file in QuickTime (a 4k ProRes movie) would bring the mighty M1 to a full freeze. Even booting in recovery mode wouldn’t allow me to repair the drive in disk utility. A mess. Total mess…

I actually have a couple of them, they are really good SSD hard drives, I think the SanDisk products are good

I got this drive just about a year ago and have already bought more because these are the fastest and most compact external drives I have ever used. The case is strong and has a nice feel to it and the provided cable fits snug in my devices without any wiggle. I have edited 4k videos from this drive and have not had any issues. Highly recommended.
