sitting on my desk and backing up my laptop plus a bit of external photos storage was apparently too rugged of a job for this little SSD. it died after 8 months. maybe it died of boredom? If I traveled a lot and used this little drive far more than I have, I’d be irate right now. But instead mostly wondering what I’ll replace it with… odds it’ll be a Sandisk? zero.

I have used numerous 2Tdrives like this one without any problems. The 4T drive also worked perfectly until the drive filled above 3TB. Now, the drive periodically freezes for 5 to 10 seconds at random intervals, typically 10 minutes working and then a freeze. Unfortunately it took more than a month to discover the flaw and it is no longer returnable.

Really love how small this is and the cable seems rugged and not as pliable as other drives. Only disconnected like twice. Just wish it had a tape/velcro system to put on the back of your laptop. Also wish the price of the 2TB would come down a bit more…but storage is getting cheaper every day!!

I was unsure about spending this much money on a drive, but its speed, capacity, and portability are amazing. I still get a kick out of the fact that it shows up on my desktop the moment I plug it in. No warming up. I have two bits of critique. The first is that it’s almost too small. I ended up putting a big ribbon on it so I’d stop misplacing it. The second is that the cable is just a bit too short. Due to its length, it’s not flexible and therefore is already starting to kink. I’m going to have to buy a longer cable soon.

it’s hard to believe how small and light weight this storage device is. about the size of a credit card. I was able to transfer files from my laptop very quickly. you can even encrypt files for extra security and privacy. I called SanDisk and they have excellent technical support. I am very happy with the purchase

This thing just cooks with great speed matching my 6-Bay TB 2 Pegasus RAID if not faster. Working with Premiere Pro 4K 2-camera footage and it keeps up mostly. A slight delay in starting and stopping sometimes, but mostly very very good. I’ve had it for a couple of months and have edited quite a few hours of video programs with it. Pinch me.
