I uploaded almost 2 TB of photos all at once to two of these SSDs without a hitch. Small, lightweight and fits nicely in purse or pocket. 4 stars for the short cord that leaves it dangling from my computer.
Santina Stiedemann (verified owner) –
This product is so good, portable and has fast speeds that I had to buy one as a gift for a friend.

I have bought a few now.

I’ve had Version 1 of this drive and used it for a couple of years. It works fast and flawlessly. I use it to edit my videos in 4K. i own 4 of these. Usually when I have finished a project, I transfer the files from this drive to a regular Sata 2 drive for storage. i never tested their waterproof or shockproof capabilities (would not on purpose). This disk is highly recommended. The prices had been multiplied by 3 lately but fortunately, i took advantage of a BH photo promotion to buy a couple at their original price.

Highly recommend! Small, lightweight and super fast!

This works well. I’m glad I upgraded to SSD from spinning disks. The speed, ruggedness and reliability of SSDs are worth the (considerable expense of moving up.

I use this for storing my Lightroom catalogs and photos, and it works wonders. I can transfer a 1GB file in seconds or less! It’s incredibly tiny and light as well. The only problem I’ve had is that the cable included is really flimsy. The USB-C connector snapped and stopped working after a few months of use. Other than having to buy a $10 replacement cord, it’s amazing, and I still would recommend purchasing.

Use it on set to download cards. My DIT is happy with it and so am I. If you shoot 4k especially, you want to go with this. I bought two: 1 for main, second for backup. Won’t lie – it’s expensive, but I bit my tongue and just bought it. I got two 4TB ones for $450 each. Just be on the lookout for sales.

This is supposed to be a ssd but you get speeds slower than a HDD, that is insane. A better option would be to buy a known good internal m2.ssd and stick it in an enclosure yourself, you’d have a better experience and better performance too.

I copied 370gb from my iMac in 8 minutes, which is approximately 770mbs. I use the drive for off-site backup at my son’s house.

Seems excellent so far. My first true external SSD (other than housed) after many HDD drives over the years. This compact size and solid build, exceptional speed are incredible. Using on a 2021 macbook pro, using a high-speed usb adapter it seems very fast and quiet. What’s not to like?

The form factor is smaller than a cell phone, making it perfect to carry in my laptop bag. The USB-C connection and solid state drive was also a welcomed upgrade from my previous USB 2.0 backup drive.
Ulises Ratke (verified owner) –
This portable SSD is super fast and relatively small. I believe I will only be purchasing these going forwards where as I previously only purchased Samsung T5/7 series portable SSDs.
Jamir Wilderman (verified owner) –
This SSD is perfect for my needs. Very fast, secure and a large capacity. I need it to keep my lots of photos in a safe place.
Rudolph Ward (verified owner) –

I had three of these (2TB) I’ve been using for misc backups and file storage for the last few years. I love them. They’re fast and so thin and small they weigh almost nothing. I can carry all three in my bag with out even noticing they’re there. Just upped the size of my desktop HD so I bought the 4TB to back it up. It works great. Cloned the HD really fast and I have to stress again how much I love the size. This will continue to be my first choice any time I need another external.

So far so good. Just the right capacity to back-up my desktop or holding my Raw travel files. Fast, reliable (used Sandisk & WD products for years) and perfect size (physically) for travel.
