Bought this for the fianc to backup her pictures. She loves it and it works on her MacBook Pro M1 very well I would definitely buy again. Wanting a 4TB version!

So far this is a great little drive. Super fast and smaller than I expected. It can get a little warm with heavy use, but nothing too alarming in my experience. So much nicer for storage and grab and go than the old drives and much faster of course.

I have an M1 Max MacBook Pro and I edit 4k video and photos in studio and on the fly. In the past I thought I needed Thunderbolt connection no matter what. But these Portable SSD Extremes have changed my mind. These and the Extreme Pro’s have given me no problems with my work, and they are talking to M1 MacBooks nicely. These game changers have saved me time and money.

Product did not work. Terrible quality and the shortest cable I’ve ever received.
Adolfo Parisian (verified owner) –
Excellent speed and of course the size and weight are a big plus

Yes, this works great with my MAC. The portable SSD V2 is smaller than expected, feels rugged and works as designed. Also includes options for encryption whether you use MAC or Windows. Really like the design.

I have been using 1tb, 2tb , and 4tb Sandisk portable SSD drives for years. They are super fast, as long as your computer is super fast. I have not had any of my six Sandisk SSD drives fail. i link to reformat them from exFAT to NRSF so that I can use them on my LG TV. They work great that way, too.
Mikayla Kuhlman (verified owner) –
This mini 2TB drive is compact and easy to take with you when you are mobile.
Felicia Stoltenberg (verified owner) –
I use this drive as working storage for large numbers of high-resolution photos. My Photoshop files regularly exceed 1 GB. This drive is a huge improvement over the high-performance enterprise-grade hard drive I used to use. The unit is remarkably small and appears to run cool. All in all, I love it. The only thing that would make it better would be having another USB-C jack so it could be used in a daisy chain.

After my external LaCie hard drive failed- I decided to go with the trusted reputation of SanDisk. I have backed up my computers with the SanDisk 2TB and feel secure that I will not have another failure! They are simple to use and very portable.

Love being able to download and edit photos and video to and from these tiny drives without bogging down my computer. Fast, silent and incredibly portable. I’m loyal to SanDisk cards and drives, based on years of reliability, so hopefully that holds true with this SSD.

The compact SSD is plugged into my desktop, but I will be using it with my laptop for two purposes while on the road in Thailand: 1, create needed space for my photography with a MacAir and 2, to use part of the SSD space to run some of my slower applications, as I have already been doing with my desktop. When I get back from Thailand, I will be migrating my giant Lightroom catalog from my iMac to the SSD and thereby gain a few more years’ use on my iMac.

Does exactly what it needs to do, no extra steps, no proprietary software. Plug in and go, makes a fine high speed backup drive to grab in an emergency.

purchased first version since. Love to travel with it. Waterproof, easy to carry, fast transfer speed.
