So far so good. It’s fast enough for my needs and 4TB is great for big video projects. Highly recommend.
Citlalli Flatley (verified owner) –
Very compact, easy to use, and makes a huge difference in the responsiveness of Lightroom.
Tyshawn Aufderhar (verified owner) –
Amazingly fast. Perfect size.

The size is perfect. About the size of the palm of my hand. Size is between a portable HD and a flash drive (thumb drive/key drive). Also, the virtual size (storage size) is greatly desirable. Waiting for SSD drives to reach bigger sizes and finally they are on their way. Functioning as expected, no issues there. The drive is connected to my Sony TV and so far seems to be working well with the tv.

Use as time machine backup for Mac. Speed blows away my old spinning external drive!
Lauren Simonis (verified owner) –
It’s light, fast, compact, has all the mobile storage you’d probably need unless you’re shooting major video! What’s not to like.
Jay Brakus (verified owner) –
I purchased two SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD V2 to store and backup video assets. They are fast and hold a ton of videos for being such a small physical size.
Bennett Ondricka (verified owner) –
This gadget is very, very fast-and it fits in my eyeglass case along with the sunglasses. Now I can take my photo archive on the road without adding another gear bag.
Alvena Stark (verified owner) –
I have many of these in 2T sizes and this works just as expected. Great editing drive.

This is the best company to buy ALL your technology and electronics from. I will only buy from them because their products are authentic, reasonably priced, arrive timely and in excellent condition and work well for years! I found out about this company from a family member who is in IT and a tech expert. He has bought from the company for years. He introduced me to their products and I couldn’t be more pleased so now I’ve told everyone I know about them. If you want peace of mind about your tech purchase I recommend you purchase from B&H because regardless of the particular equipment you buy, you will get the same quality each time. They are consistent with quality and service, from cameras to cables, to ports, adaptors, terra drives, and so on. Thank you B&H for being the best and always reliable!

With the price of disks always declining, I was able to buy this for the same price I paid for the 1TB version two years ago. What I like in particular about the Extreme V2 is the high transfer speeds do not suddenly drop when the internal cache is full. To get maximum speed, make sure you connect it to a port that supports 10Gb/s USB3.2 gen 2 speeds. I did try it with a cheap passive hub that only supports 5Gb/s USB3.2 gen1 and the transfer speed was indeed cut in half. Because it uses an NvMe drive rather than a 2.5 SATA, it’s really tiny. Like all high speed devices these days, it does get quite warm in use but not enough to be uncomfortable to pick up. The included USB-C cable is very short, about 6, but does come with a C to A adapter included. Reliability of the 2 year old 1TB Extreme V2 has been excellent, I expect this to be the same. Overall I’m very pleased. I’d recommend this over the popular Samsung T7 drive.

Slower than some other SSDs but priced much more affordably. It’s fast enough for storage and to use as a TimeMachine back-up. Did I mention how small this thing is? Truly portable. Pocket portable.
Berneice Kunde (verified owner) –
The first 2 were 500 GB’s, the last 1 TB.
Chadd Zieme (verified owner) –
The frustration of contacting and snail pace for supports limits any future purchases.

I love these portables. I have them in every size available and find them perfect for travelling. I’ve never had one come detached from my computer like the larger HDs do on occasion. Highly recommend.

Great for picture back up.

This is the first SSD drive I’ve used, and I’m very impressed. It’s really small, so fits easily into a pocket. However, it’s the speed of this drive that’s beyond expectations. It’s crazy fast! I’m very pleased.

This is a great little hard drive that is well-made, convenient size and has quick write speeds
