I ordered this SSD drive in order to setup a bootable macOS Catalina drive (to be used on multiple Macs). I was successful with this endeavor and when I boot from this SSD drive the computer works just as quickly/well as when booted via the computer’s default SSD drives – so it is fast and works well in other word. I have used this drive with both the USB-C and traditional USB plug add-on (which attaches to the end of the USB-C cable) and it works great either way. The device is smaller than I had expected, and it does not appear to get too hot with regular usage or while initially installing the operating system etc.

We absolutely love this little drive. It’s very small and very powerful! We’ve been using it to edit photos while plugged into our laptop and it’s so fast compared to a standard HDD. Love the portability and will be getting more of these in the future!

It is similar to the 550mb/s drive. This one is way faster but not by a huge amount. it has a better heat dispersion. I absolutely recommend to everyone and It works as described.

I got this on Black Friday so it was a much better deal. The drive gets 5 stars but the price gets 3 stars. I love the speed and I’m trying to switch my editing workflow to all SSD but it’s expensive

This solid state drive is only 2x4x1/2 plus the short connecting cable, but holds 2 terabytes and is very fast. The size makes it easy to bring along. The cable is USB-C, which contributes to the speed, and has a USB-A adapter. If you need to use the adapter, make sure you attach it correctly (align adapter pins with grooves on the USB-C) or you won’t get a good connection.
