Finally the price for reasonable sized SSD drives has come down enough to make them realistic. This one is beautiful, appears to be fairly rugged and is much smaller than I expected. Speed seems great, too soon to comment on durability, but this is just what I’ve been looking for. Perfect so far to hold my travel library. Will probably pick up a second one for backup. Get a Fromsky case for it- well padded, complimentary color and a perfect fit.

I purchased both the Extreme Pro and the Extreme model for back up on my 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Max. Both run at the same speed as far as I can tell on my Macbook. I would have been just as well off having two of the Extreme models. The Extreme model is a little bit smaller than the Pro model. Both work great and are very fast for this purpose.

Recently made the switch over to a SSD for storing my Lightroom catalog and backing up personal projects. Seamless setup and a fast transfer times made it well worth it!

Using it as a steam library. Had to format, defrag, and format again to get it written correctly for windows. Idk if that was my mess up or the format is ships in but I’m happy with it.

Transfers fast, no issues so far.

Had my eye on this little ssd for awhile now, and when it went on sale I jumped on it and boy I’m glad I did! Fast AF, and amazing size – fits anywhere – really great time in FCP on my 2015 Mac book pro. Get this guy, you won’t regret it!

My PC comes with fast SSD of just 250mb… It was sufficiente before, but because of a travel and work that was not planned when I buy the PC, I need more space to save system images and other things. Luckly this external drive work as speeds like internal drive, saving a lot of time. Other external hard drives (inclusive some external SSDs) have 10x slower speeds than this. And 1TB is more than sufficient when you look for speed, as data that you use only few times on a year, can stand on a slow drive on your drawer.

I do love this portable ssd. It is has decent read and white speed. It is lightweight, durable and nice looking. I simply put it in my laptop case and it fits perfectly

I purchased this product to move photos from my PC that were taking up a ton of space. So far, this portable SSD has allowed for an easy transfer of photos with 2TB of space. For my purpose, this has been a convenient and easy resolution.

Technology has clearly come a LONG way since I purchased my last external SSD. I was shocked by how tiny this machine is (legitimately about the length/width of a credit card), and I was even more surprised by the data transfer speeds. My expectations were already high from the other positive reviews I read during my research, and I have to say I was not let down! This makes my 1 TB SSD from only a few years ago feel like a clunky and sluggish relic. I’ve heard that I can do my video editing directly on this drive rather than my iMac’s internal storage, though I have yet to integrate that test into my workflow. All in all, I’m very glad that I didn’t upgrade to the Extreme PRO model — this one is already so fast that I don’t think the PRO upgrade would have had much effect.

Have several of these and they are great! Great for travel!

I’ve messed around with a lot of externals, and for my money, you won’t beat the reliability and the speed at the price on these. I’ve got probably a dozen of them at this point, and usually add one line item for each new shoot… makes transfers a breeze as well.

I bought a 1Tb a week before and I was so pleased that I immediately ordered this 2Tb version. It is very rugged and small enough for any pocket. As an added bonus, the delivery was two days early over the Labor day holiday weekend. I’m very satisfied
