This tiny 2TB portable hard drive is great. Just moved some very large (50mb) picture files to it for storage. Comes with a very short cord, which I will replace, but is so light, it is currently hanging from the cord.

These are the best ssd drives! I bought the 4TB one to store all my photos and Lightroom catalog on and it is so much faster then editing off the hard drive in my computer.

I’m nor sure if I got a defective unit but while backing up my information this thing was burning hot. I was afraid that it will collapse at some. I wouldn’t recommend it
Andy Tillman (verified owner) –
Exactly what I was looking for. Very portable with a lot of storage space. I really appreciate the USB Type-C to Type-A adapter, which increases the functionality of the drive.

This is my 4th Sandisk 2TB unit. All four work great and were easy to format for Mac. The only problem with this unit is that the carabiner was missing.
Selmer Ledner (verified owner) –
Great drive, I have four and they all perform as they should. They’re fast enough to edit off of.
Gussie Boyle (verified owner) –

I was depressed when trying to copy BRAW files to my MacBook Pro M1 Max. In 10 seconds the SanDisk disappeared! It just f died! With 2TB of precious videos I did in NYC. The connector is a complete garbage. There is a play.

Love the size and ease to connect, but disappointed in the lag in upload and download speed. My Portable HDD Drive seems to save faster.

I bought three of these drives to back up my footage on a film shoot. I’m on location now in Asia and I just had to order a new set of hard drives. These will not work with macOS Monterey. I have an Apple M1 Pro running 12.0.1, and I also tried it on my client’s computer, an older Mac, but still running Monterey. It wouldn’t work on either machine. I formatted these drives just fine before I left on my trip using my 2018 iMac Pro running Sierra. I had no idea this would happen.
Lindsey Block (verified owner) –
I have 3 of them. The pro version is even better!!!
Winona Dooley (verified owner) –
I’m mainly a video shooter. I bought 4 of these drives (on sale!) for downloading camera cards in the field. They are fast, silent, and so far, reliable. They work so well I decided to keep one on my desk for editing smaller projects. (iMac/FCPX) So far, so good. The only negative is also a positive: They’re tiny and easy to misplace.
Mervin Becker (verified owner) –
I was surprised by how compact it is. Download and upload speeds are fast enough to handle a couple hundred Sony A1 raw files in a couple seconds. Haven’t dropped or put it’s ruggedness to the test but it feels well constructed. E ought to maybe handle an accidental drop.

very fast, easy,small,everything
Damon Dietrich (verified owner) –
use it for my editing drive when my internal SSD drives are running low on space. super fast.
Nicole Hane (verified owner) –
Works great for travel to Africa and every where else – light and small to carry.

My wife and I now use these as our Time Machine backup. When we use our laptops in a different location, we don’t have to disconnect anything. Perhaps needless to say, we have never had any issues with SanDisk products, either on our computers or cameras.
