So far so good. Partitioned into 2 volumes, Music and Video. Created folder Teslacam into the 1st partition(video) for sentry mode and dash cam. Used 2nd partition (music) for mp3 and mp4. Lets hope it will be durable and last several years.

So far, so good. It’s sturdy and has plenty of space to meet my needs.

I bought this for use as an external drive on my MacBook … I put a FinalCut Pro Library on it, so I wanted speed. It’s good in that regard, it’s fast, very compact, and reliable so far. It’s nice that they provide both a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as USB-C to USB-A. Little pricey, but when B&H has it on special, it’s reasonable.

This version, the SDSSDE81-2T00-G25 has the same tested speeds as the previous version, the one rated at 1000 MBS. I am waiting for the feedback from Sandisk at the moment. I have tried thunderbolt 3 and other high speed cables, and the speed of this for both write and read, are the same as the 1000 MBS version, the one with model #SDSSDE80-2T00

So far I’ve only had a pleasant experience using this thing. I’ve yet to stress test it per say with continuous write/read over a day of production but have been transferring massive amount of files of various sizes (1kb to 4gb per file) and so far I’m happy with the transfer speeds. It feels solid yet extremely light. Rubberized top/bottom make it so you won’t easily drop it out of hand. In hindsight I would have bought a little carrying case for it and the USB cord only to keep them together when I travel and have less chance of losing either one. Its expensive but capable. Setting the standard for any drives I’ll buy in the future.

As I’ve only had this for a couple of months, I can only say, so far so good; no issues. I work on documentaries and have two which I use to transfer 4K footage from a Canon C-300 mkii. Pros: These drives are SMALL! You can seriously fit one in a dress shirt pocket! The transfer speed is FAST! Cons: None at this time. Suggestion: If you are filming in the field at 4K, I’d definitely go with the 2TB drive. The 500 GB fills up fast. Lesson learned!

This hard drive is a beast! I use this hard drive for video editing and it really sped up my process. 10/10 Would recommend!

The port appears to have been manufactured with a male connection instead of a female…so bizarre!

I work with large video files and wanted a drive that could move the data fast. With ProRes 4444 video files from an Arri Alexa I needed a drive that could keep the data flowing. The speed of this SSD is amazing. I got a great price for it on sale. These SSD’s are also very highly rated. This SSD has not disappointed me.

It’s easy to set up and really fast. The only downside: it’s way pricey.

consistent 900 mbs read / write with most Macs and PCs Runs cooler than Samsung external SSDs. Perhaps it’s the larger sized casing.

Took this along on my vacation for pic and video storage. No special setup needed. Works right out of the box.

Portable, durable and reliable. Highly recommend for any photographer on the go

Had a older version that I liked a lot but we never have enough speed. Extreme is a rocket. Recommend to all.

I buy these and the little black one from another company to use with the Blackmagic Ursa mini 12k video camera. This one just got approved, though I’ve been using these for many years, now. They are small, thin and I really love them and use them a ton for regular work or when transferring between computers. This Pro version is even better than the lower grade and I’ve never had a problem with corruption on these and buy one any you’ll see ..how they will become a favorite.

Works very fast with my Dell XPS15. Light and portable.

Bought this as an upgrade to another portable hard drive I have for when I’m shooting on the road. It’s super fast and I don’t have to worry about a spinning disk since it’s solid state. Also, being solid state it seems to draw less power from my laptop. The biggest plus is the extra speed though. Great little hard drive

sofar I like it 😉 Small and sturdy and works of the shelf with my Mac and PC (other ssds can be formatted in such way too).

I use these devices mainly for storing photos and videos. It is very handy in the field, as it is light-weight, durable. I often copy data from my camera to this drive so I know the data is protected. It uploads and downloads data quickly. I find it very convenient to plug into my computer and then work directly from the SSD device with my photo editing applications.
