Really handy to have 4tb in such a small case with good speed. Excellent working with Blackmagic 4k. And for post production and coloring.

its good and fast but with macbook its will work only 1000mb/s not 2000mb/s because 2020 M1 mac mini and macbook pro used 3.1 usb not support 3.2

I’m using this drive to off-load all the movies and video from my MacBook Pro M1 Max 2021. The combo of this new computer with this 2TB SSD drive is amazing. I moved about 100 movies at a total of 250 meg and it was done faster than I could click to drag the next movie across. Fastest transfers I’ve ever seen. I also have a Sandisk 1TB non-pro and this new one is night and day faster. Silent, super fast, and an extremely good value. Just buy it.

Great drive, fast and reliable.

This is for video editing. It seems perfect so far

very very fast

I’m using this for the virtual machines with VirtualBox. I don’t feel any improvement in speed, even when resuming saved virtual machine. Size is larger than the predecessor model. Of course, the price is higher, too. Cable is longer and no USB-C adapter therefore you may need to take 2 cables instead of 1. I just don’t see a big advantage. However, if you constantly copy files back and forth, newer one may save time a bit. The price difference between 2 models is small enough to consider upgrade. Both models get very hot when using, but newer one may be slightly lower temperature. But it is just my feeling and I hope someone can compare side-by-side thoroughly.

Great and fast – love it !

Works really fast

It’s fast even if you can’t utilize the full speed due to your computer hardware. Got it on sale and seems like a good deal. Like the hoop that lets me hang it around.

This drive saved me when working with larger, heavier files. I recently started shooting in PRORES 422 10Bit, and this requires a lot more speed for editing. I ran into some hiccups with other drives I had, and this one took off and has worked flawlessly. I recommend getting the 4TB, because why not? I was able to store a few projects at a time on this. I really don’t see any flaws as of yet and hopefully won’t run into any down the road. It’s well worth the money.

Good size, plenty of storage for my purposes and nicely built.

Purchased this to use as storage for SlingStudio. So far, so good. It is small and sturdy.

I’ve used this specifically with an RME audio interface as a direct-recording drive. I got sick of arming inputs and outputs for recording and gave up on the torture test of getting this thing to stutter – it hasn’t dropped any audio from what I can throw at it. Not 1 sample dropped so far. I’ll absolutely be getting more of these. If you’re coming from the slow spotty-transfer USB thumb drives this drive will have you laughing!

Works very fast with my Dell XPS15. Light and portable.
Barton Von (verified owner) –
Not much to say about it, but the build quality is top notch, and it’s blazing fast compared to my USB-A drive. Probably I should have gotten a bigger size, but that’s my own fault. Will definitely buy again.

I’m very loyal to SanDisk. I think they make great external storage devices, including this portable SSD. It’s very sturdy and was a great price. I think the price is even lower now than what I paid. My only complaint/caution is that it gets VERY hot. I assume/hope that’s okay.

I bought it right before my traveling. It was very nice and convenient having it and be able to save a backup of my photos without worrying loosing any of my photos.

I bought this to backup my old hard drive and had 800 gigabytes of images and documents. The transfer was smooth and the only constraint is the slow speed of the old drive; the SanDisk is fast, quiet, and fits in the palm of my hand.

This SSD is small enough to carry with you anywhere. It feels very solid too. I bought it to be used with Windows computers, however I don’t have any with usb-c ports. Although the drive is fast enough, it is slower than my Patriot Rage Supersonic flash drives. I guess if you use it with device that have usb-c ports it will be faster.
