Tiny for 2TB, and super fast

This is by far the fastest portable ssd I’ve used – coming from samsung t5 and t7’s mostly.

I’m using this SSD to storing and culling photos while traveling, as well as some light editing in Lightroom if/when I have time. So far it’s working well. It’s small, appears to be well built, quite fast for the tasks that I’m performing, and it doesn’t seem to draw an excessive amount of power in terms of how long my MacBook Pro battery lasts while this drive is in use. I did take away one star just because of how hot the drive gets when in use. It’s not going to burn anyone, but wow – it gets really hot. While riding shotgun on a road trip and trying to review and cull photos I had to get creative about where to put the drive because I definitely didn’t want it sitting on my lap. I ultimately settled on letting it dangle by the USB-C cord between the passenger seat and the door, and that seemed to work.

This is an amazing portable hard drive. It is fast, fast, fast. I use it to edit video. I plug it into my Mac and edit video that’s on the drive and export it directly to the drive. The read and write speak is fast and I don’t notice any delays. A little pricey, but well worth it.

consistent 900 mbs read / write with most Macs and PCs Runs cooler than Samsung external SSDs. Perhaps it’s the larger sized casing.

This 1TB will work perfectly for Shuttle File using my iPad with Vaquero.Photography

I’VE BOUGHT A SANDISK EXTREME REGULAR FEW MONTHS AGO, BUT THIS ONE IS TOO BETTER. 1GB/S WOW! AMAZING

I bought this to expand the storage of my 1TB MacBook Pro, I work primarily with large D850 files this drive makes it quick to transfer files between devices with speed. Given the speed I’m sure this would be excellent for high resolution video as well. I have not used the included cable, but have used with an OWC TB4 cable. Build quality is excellent, wish there was a cover for the connector given this product is marketed to be rugged and designed for the adventurer. Also wish there was an 8 TB version

Great SSD Drives! I use 4 of them now, and they have been performing fantastically. Once you use the speeds of drives like this, it is insanely tough to go back to something slower. Great product!

The SanDIsk 1TB Extreme Pro fits all my needs. It’s very fast and it’s easy to adapt to any computer, the 1 TB capacity it’s really useful, whenever you have to edit or work in any project that requires some extra memory capacity.

Great for backup an extended trip.

I have never been able to get the full rated speed, Even bought a pci-E card for the desktop but could not get the full speed. Maybe some highend laptops or next gen desktop will be able to get the full speed. You should consider the Extreme and not the Pro as you may get the same performance with your computer

And quite compact for a 2TB. Easy partitioning in Disk Utility to APFS. Highly recommended!

Decided my spinning hard drive was not keeping up with my Lightroom demands, move all my photos to this external SSD and what a game changer. Upload/download speeds and performance improvements in the develop module has made spending the dollars worth every cent. Get one today!!!!

I’m using it in my Tesla, but I can think of many other uses. So far it’s perfect. I’ve created two Fat32 partitions, one 400Gb for music and the other 100Gb for TeslaCam and SentryCam. The drive is blazingly fast. There’s no delay accessing my music files and no problem with the TeslaCam folder on the other partition. There was an initial issue. When I first attached the drive to my iMac, the drive icon appeared on the screen. I ejected the drive by moving the icon to the Trash. The computer would not see the drive after that, even after re-boots. Sandisk’s website suggested accessing /volumes/ from the finder window. I don’t remember all the steps, but I finally got it worked out. I duplicated the problem and solved it by simply inserting a USB thumb drive and ejecting by right clicking. I think this is the method I will always use to eject the drive; although, there were no more issues with the Trash Can method, thereafter. As mentioned by others, the drive runs warm. The temperature of the case got up to 101 degrees F – not bad. I’ve ordered a shorter cable to enable a better fit in the console compartment. I’ve knocked it down to 4-stars because of the time I wasted with initial access, otherwise, great.

I got a 2TB last year and it became my standard for everything transfer. Now I got this one as well. Extremely fast, small, and light. Never leaves the bag other than during use.

I am using this to clone a rather large home directory and provide me some scratch space to do some other work. Using Carbon Copy Cloner, the times are on par with other NVMe drives as it is limited by the USB-C connection on my MacBook Pro.
