Designed for use as a startup drive, the 4TB 3D SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from SanDisk provides faster system boots and helps enable faster gaming and graphics performance compared to a traditional HDD. It has a storage capacity of up to 4TB, is equipped with a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, and fits into your system’s 2.5″ / 7mm drive bay. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 530 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, random writes of up to 84,000 IOPS, and random reads of up to 95,000 IOPS 3D NAND and nCache 2.0 technology.
With solid-state drive technology you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures.
SanDisk’s 4TB 3D SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD offers their SSD Dashboard, which is available as a free download, and helps users to monitor their drive’s health. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty, or an endurance rating of up to 600 Terabytes Written (TBW), whichever comes first.

I am very pleased with this SanDisk SSD. I am shocked at how fast it is. I turn on my computer and all I see is the bios screen and then Windows, absolutely no loading screen. My computer is ready to go within 5 seconds of me turning it on in the morning. Navigating around the internet is fast also, I will click on a link and it loads instantly, Setup was easy, I just plugged the SSD in and installed windows 10 in about 20 minutes from a bootable USB stick. I would definitely recommend this drive and SanDisk is a trusted name in storage.

First off I like raw 2.5 drives for all sorts of use. Who needs a drive in an enclosure, this already has most of the protection you need. But you already know that. These drives are good for using for quick offloading, as a scratch cache or even in a RAID. Just make sure everything is backed up. This is a good mix of speed and a decent price.

Replaced an aging hard drive with this SSD. Downloaded the SanDisk/Western Digital program to copy my hard drive. Worked well and without problem. Rebooted no problem and Windows opened almost immediately. Internet seemed to load faster as well. Worked so well I bought another which was on sale locally and replaced the hard driver in my other computer. Love it and I would do it again!

…and a NICE price! I am so HAPPY to finally be rid of the HDD’s on my PC. I will not miss them crashing every two-three years! I actually purchased two SanDisk SSD’s: one for my main hard drive at 2tb and the other at 1tb to utilize for my local back up!

The product does not include any cloning software in a package. Therefore, it was hard to find a proper one that worked. After SSD was connected to the SATA 3 cable adapter the system did not see the disk, moreover, SanDisk SSD Dashboard software did not see the SSD. Acronis True Image WD Edition Software did not see the SSD as well. SanDisk is owned by Western Digital. Apricon software could find SSD but did not let me clone the disk.EasyUS TODO software is free to use, however, it installed Chromium on my laptop and asked me to allow extensions to Chrome Browser. Overall EasyUS TODO looked like a virus. Thus, I deleted it as soon as installed and did not try to use it. The only software that worked in my case was Macrium Reflect 7.1 free. Also, I watched a youtube video made by GadgetClass channel published on Dec 31, 2014, which walked me through all the steps. Cloning the disk took 4.5 hours in my case. After SSD was installed in the laptop the system boot up in 7 seconds and SanDisk SSD Dashboard software started to recognize SSD. If I would do this process all over again I would buy Samsung EVO 860 that includes a Magician software made by Samsung company and available for download from their website or Crucial SSD that also has a software to clone the HHD.

99.999% of the time I could care less about how many nanoseconds I would save by going with one of the new faster drives as these SATA III SSDs blow away the spinning drives for speed, reliability, power consumption, heat production, and noise! With 4 drive bays in my older Mac Pro Tower plus 2 drives on a Sonnett PCLe Card, I can store my photos on one drive, docs on another, video on yet another, and finally my system software and programs on another SSD. Transfer rates are great and reliability is beyond great. Finally, all this at great price!

My old MacBook needed urgent help. I expanded the RAM from 8 to 16 Gb and replaced the HD with a 1T SSD and now it runs like a kid. New life!

I cloned a spinnie original HDD in an HP 800/i7 computer onto this SDD and it DOES speed thing up noticeably. Hopefully, with Sandisk’s reputation, it’ll out last me. Good price and super fast shipping. My 1st B&H purchase, at my son’s recommendation
