Designed for use as a startup drive, the 4TB 3D SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from SanDisk provides faster system boots and helps enable faster gaming and graphics performance compared to a traditional HDD. It has a storage capacity of up to 4TB, is equipped with a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, and fits into your system’s 2.5″ / 7mm drive bay. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 530 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, random writes of up to 84,000 IOPS, and random reads of up to 95,000 IOPS 3D NAND and nCache 2.0 technology.
With solid-state drive technology you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures.
SanDisk’s 4TB 3D SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD offers their SSD Dashboard, which is available as a free download, and helps users to monitor their drive’s health. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty, or an endurance rating of up to 600 Terabytes Written (TBW), whichever comes first.

great ssd have the ssd running for 3 weeks now and raid 0 with no problem called scandisk customer support and was told can run raid. Has 5 year warranty and scandisk website is easy to register the product for warranty.

speeds on a 2011Laptop have increased from 9 to 60 times @ crystal disk mark, boots in 1/10 the time. No Cloning software, Sandisk shows EZ gig software in the instructions, but this will not work unless you buy there adapter cable. I removed the hardrive from the laptop, plugged it and the Sandisk into spare SATA connections on my desktop, and used Macrium Reflect ( Free ) to clone original hardrive, 225 gigs, 38 minutes, works perfect..

Got this SanDisk SSD to improve performance of my Mac Mini (late 2014) that was dragging from start to finish on every front. Had been advised to replace it with a solid drive and the clerk at B&H recommended this one. Works great, everything is a lot faster and performs as one would expect a computer to function. The tricky thing was to change the drive. But ifixit.com has a step-by-step guide to do it that is very good and clear.

The product does not include any cloning software in a package. Therefore, it was hard to find a proper one that worked. After SSD was connected to the SATA 3 cable adapter the system did not see the disk, moreover, SanDisk SSD Dashboard software did not see the SSD. Acronis True Image WD Edition Software did not see the SSD as well. SanDisk is owned by Western Digital. Apricon software could find SSD but did not let me clone the disk.EasyUS TODO software is free to use, however, it installed Chromium on my laptop and asked me to allow extensions to Chrome Browser. Overall EasyUS TODO looked like a virus. Thus, I deleted it as soon as installed and did not try to use it. The only software that worked in my case was Macrium Reflect 7.1 free. Also, I watched a youtube video made by GadgetClass channel published on Dec 31, 2014, which walked me through all the steps. Cloning the disk took 4.5 hours in my case. After SSD was installed in the laptop the system boot up in 7 seconds and SanDisk SSD Dashboard software started to recognize SSD. If I would do this process all over again I would buy Samsung EVO 860 that includes a Magician software made by Samsung company and available for download from their website.

I bought a Star Tech USB31CSAT3CB cable and us it with this SSD on my BMPCC 4K. Plenty fast enough for 4K DCI Pro Res HQ at 60p.
