Designed for the Apple Mac mini, the Satechi USB Type-C Aluminum Stand and Hub elevates and add ports to your Mac mini. Using just a single USB Type-C connection, this stand and hub adds a USB Type-C data port, three USB Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm headphone audio jack, a microSD card reader, and a SD card reader to your Mac mini. The stand is also equipped with built-in air vents to help regulate the temperature as well as built-in air vents to provide airflow. The stand and hub features an aluminum finish and is designed to match the Mac mini.

So glad I decided to purchase the Satechi Stand and Hub for the Mac Mini. I had a feeling that the built-in ports on the back of the Mini wouldn’t be enough – and I was right! It’s so nice to have a few more USB ports. No issues whatsoever as far as functionality with the addition of the Satechi. Highly recommend!

In my opinion, this is a ‘must’ accessory for the Mini, not only adding badly needed ports (wish for more USB-c) but bringing them to the front. However, be aware that upgrading the Operating System with this accessory attached will create some glitches, so it is best to disconnect it before installing an upgrade.

This device is a great thing to have when trying to connect several External Hard Drives to the miniMac! I have all of my devices connected to either this Dock or the back of the miniMac. Plus, having the SD card reader in this device makes for uploading my captured images from my cameras a breeze! LOVE IT!!!
