This makes all the time that I sit in front of my computer so much more comfortable. By having the connections in the front it allows for easy access to additional connections without having to connect them from the back. I gave it 4 stars only because I wish that it was USB 3.0 so it can have faster connections.

I bought the Satechi USB hub because my new iMac M1 doesn’t have the ports I need. The Satechi has got the SD slot that photographers need and three USB-A ports for my printer, external hard drive, etc. This is a great-looking, practical solution for getting the ports that are missing on the new iMac M1’s. There are a couple of cons: All the ports face forward, which is good for things that are accessed often like the SD card slot or a USB thumb drive, but it would be nice to have a few in the back for devices that don’t need to be disconnected such as the backup drive and printer. The forward-facing ports make the USB plugs and cables project out forward into the work space. The other downside is that the USB-A ports won’t power the Apple USB SuperDrive CD/DVD drive with its USB-A plug. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and I’m very happy with the purchase.
