Other than not having the touch ID function that Apple’s Bluetooth keyboard offers, Satechi does an immaculate job. Even Apple’s magic keyboard doesnt have backlit keys, like this one! It’s recommend it in a heartbeat over the other one. Well built!

I was looking for a space grey Magic Keyboard without a numberpad (which I don’t find useful for my personal use) and this keyboard provided what I was looking for and more! The backlight works well and serves its purpose although it could be better. The multi device connection is very useful and works as expected. The keys type ok and have a good quality. Battery is good enough for a couple weeks of long use. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

This keyboard came highly recommended. It works as advertised. What more can I want?

I bought this to use with my Macbook Air M1 when connected to external monitor. I did not want to spend a lot of money for apple keyboard and always heard great feedback about satechi products so I wanted to give a try on this. I am glad I did and I could not be happier. I am using my laptop couple hours everyday and it’s unbelievable how long lasting battery this device has. I almost never charge this (maybe once every 2 months.) back lit function works great when needed. Keys feel very solid and pleasant to type with. I strongly recommend this product to whom looking for an apple keyboard for a reasonable price.

When this product first came out, I ordered two to evaluate. If it worked out well, I would have ordered a dozen of them. However, it was too good to be true. Let’s talk about what’s good about it: Designed just like the Apple Magic Keyboard. The keys are illuminated. It is able to pair with three devices, so I don’t have to have ONE keyboard for each device I am using on my desk. Now, the bad stuff that breaks the deal: Some of the keys don’t work consistently. Not all keys have the same feel/travel. The depression on the wider keys feel different when it’s made away from the very center. Even with the illumination LED off, the battery operating time falls much shorter than that of Apple’s. I had to return them, because as I pound away at 120wpm, I noticed that the word ‘count’ was being red-flagged. As it turned out, the character ‘o’ was not showing up. that made me furious. I scrutinized the ‘o’ key and noticed that it sounded like gravel (seems to have two clicks, but does not register). Other keys have various degrees of abnormal sound and travel. Would have been perfect, but too good to be true.

This thing is terrible! At first I thought the negative reviews on it were of people just being negative nancys but nope, this keyboard is by far the worst keyboard I’ve ever owned in my whole life! The keys don’t do anything when you press them. It’s very laggy. You press a key and if you’re lucky to even get anything typed in it might take like 30 seconds for something to appear, and sometimes it’ll type it a million times. This keyboard is brain dead , seriously. I wish I would of returned it when I was within my return period. What a waste of money… I don’t even want to give it 1 star but unfortunately I’m not given the option to rate it 0 stars… The only good use I’ll have for this piece of trash is to use it as a frisbee with my dog…
