Scotts mechanical lawn mower is a healthy alternative to electric and gas-powered lawn mowers. This old-fashioned lawn mower only requires your energy to function. It does not use gas or oil so it does not emit fumes. This push mower is low maintenance since you only have to be mindful of the sharpness of the blades and nothing else. I get a good 30-45 minute work-out in every time I use it, and the end result of a clean cut without the gas is the reason I love it. I wish I bought the 18″ instead, as size and amount of effort matters. When I use it, it’s easy for the grass to slip through even on the driest of days, which requires you to change the cutting height. My grass is different heights in the back and the front, so I’d have to have a rench handy, and spend 10 minutes making sure everything is adjusted properly and carefully. In closing, this isn’t worth $128.00, maybe $95.00. because it does get the job done. I would have much rather spent the $200.00 on the 18″ because of the easier adjusting height manuever and 4″ more of grass cut.**Buy only if you’re a patient landscaper and want to work-out more.

Product itself is great. works awesome. However there is room for Scott to improve the documentation on how to assemble. Its lot to be desired for.

This mower was easy to assemble and works very well cutting the lawn to an evened out level.

I got this because my front yard is quite small and my backyard has far to many rocks for a motorized mower. This push mower works great! The only time I’ve had issues was hitting a patch of grass that was way to long, which is understandable. The blade is adjustable which has helped to avoid hitting rocks. Easy to maneuver and my yards look great!!!

I bought a townhouse with miniscule front and back yards. I wanted fresh grass I could walk barefoot in but how to maintain it? The product description for this lawnmower said it is suitable for a “postage stamp size yard” so I bought it. It’s not too heavy to carry around, and is small enough to fit in a closet. Also delivery was on time and assembly was easy. It does the job cutting the grass nicely, and provides the 30 minutes of exercise the doc ordered. I love it!

It took me a while to get uses to work with it , after a few minutes of following the direction, it was working great , I moved the heigh to high level for cutting.

I like the Scott’s 16 inch reel mower better. The 14 inch is a good product but the cutting height is only adjustable to about 1 3/4 inches if memory serves me correctly. Most people mow their lawn to that lower height, but I prefer a cutting height of at least 2 inches and the 16 inch adjusts to 2 1/2 inches I think. I actually ended up with the Scott’s 16 inch which I like very much.

I really like using the mower, but I wish that there was an easier way to adjust the “height” of the blades for a closer cut. I also wish that this size and type of Scotts mower had a catcher that came with it that was made just for this type of mower. A catcher that you would just snap on without any hassle. The size of this mower is just wonderful and it fits my personal lawn needs very well. I really enjoy the products that Home Deport offers and I’m glad to see that they are always expanding and offering new products.

Awesome push mower. Works great for our tiny yard. The only downside is that it gets choked up on thick grass or large weeds. However this was expected based on the other reviews.

It is all assembled. All you need to do is put the handle together.I am 71 and did it myself. It is easy to operate. It is good exercise for older people.I feel like a kid.I highly recommend this product.

It was easy to assemble and use. A little stiff at first. Disappointing that they do not make a grass catcher for this size. Don’t spend the extra dollar to buy Scott’s !

Easy to put together, even easier to use. Already have one. Bought an additional one for another house. Great value!
