Very easy to assemble. Scotts should include in the manual that the first time you push the mower after assembly to do it on a hard surface-garage floor or sidewalk. It is a little louder than I thought it would be when mowing.

It cuts my grass, but the tall grass it does not cut. Then the weeds along with the super long grass it does not ever want to cut; so I just pull it by hand but over all it is a good workout and it does cut the grass (just not all of it).

This cuts perfectly fine. Very clean cut on the grass blade. I have Zeon Zoysia and this is perfect. I keep my grass cut every week at 1.5 inches. Those who say this does not cut well are not using this properly. Read the manual and make sure all the blades can cut paper & spray WD-40 on it before using it. If you have sticks and stones on the grass and you run over them with the reel mower, you will damage the blades on it, and it will eventually not cut, no matter how much you sharpen it as this stuff puts dents on the blades, this is very important to remember. Now if you take care of your lawn and do not wait weeks in between cuts, this reel mower is a must. The grass in the picture I posted, that result cannot be achieved with a rotary mower, no matter how sharp the blade is. Rotary mower is not a clean cut, so it leaves the very tip of the grass brown, which affects the overall color.

I was so happy to purchase this 16 inch size and watch it do the job on my patio area. We live in a condo community with mowers who have to skip if the weather is too wet, so a couple of times each summer our dog is very unhappy with high grass on his walks. I can use this mower to achieve great results in the patio area, in our front yard, and on the side of our end unit. It doesn’t take a lot of space in storage, but it might be a touch heavy for older folks. Hopefully, they will not be mowing at all. I am completely pleased and wish I had made this purchase a long time ago.
