I have a riding mower. I needed a push mower to cut grass on a part of the lawn that I top dressed due to thin grass. I cant use my riding mower…it picks up the top dressing and throws it everywhere. I couldn’t use a push mower that had a motor…due to it also picked up the top dressing. I thought I would try the Reel Mower. I love it !!!!! It does a perfect job and also works in tight areas around the flower beds where it is hard to maneuver the riding mower. I had 2 neighbors stop and ask about the Reel Mower. I highly recommended it to them. I will continue using the Reel Mower after my lawns thin spots fill in.

Love my new Scott’s Reel Push Mower! So easy to put together!! It’s perfect for someone that has a smaller area of grass. I’ve recommended this mower to my niece. She also has a small area to mow. The best is that I don’t need gas or help cranking a lawn mower!! I recommend this Reel mower to anyone! Love my mower and The Home Depot! It was easy to assemble and runs smoothly with little effort required on level ground. It gets stuck on the smallest of sticks and comes to an abrupt halt — annoying. It also leaves an occasional rogue tall blade of grass that won’t go down even with repeated passes. However, it meets my needs for the purpose it was intended. It’s a low noise, low maintenance, low cost machine that makes short work of a small lawn.

This cuts like a scissor and clean-cut the grass. You feel connected to your grass when you use this machine. But, they may not for everyone, if there are lots of roots, leaves, or bushes in the lawn the blades get stuck and you have to remove them before mowing again. If you have a clean yard with no debris this is a fun activity. Also, you will need a bit of upper body strength too.I recommend this over the plastic electric mowers.
