I bought 2 of these for my home network on a raid 1 setup, no issues and also bought Seagate for its performance and reliability.

Bought 9 already and very happy !

Unfortunately attempted to setup RAID 1 on set of drives ordered. One is working flawlessly but the other would not recognize out of the box. Appeared to be either mechanical or issue on the board, as it would spin up, but very loud clicking. Not a great impression for a new drive.

I own several of these 20TB Seagate IronWolf HDD’s. They are totally awesome. They are very reliable and fast. I do film and video editing for clients and these Seagate drives never let me down. There is enough storage space to back up your largest files and many of them as well as handling large 4K -8K video files. This is a must buy!

I’ve bought two of these from B&H for use in backing up my NAS, I’ve not had them long but so far they’re perfect. And of course B&H are great in how quickly they process orders and the prices are cheaper even with international postage and fees than buying them here in Australia.

Reliable and pretty fast. Great when using RAID redundancy setups.
Florian Fahey (verified owner) –
Ive had this drive for just over a year now and have no issues with it. Fast and easy to install and not a huge amount of space wasted by the formatting for the drive either.

I purchased these drives for a home NAS to use in a RAID 1 configuration. They were easy to install and configure and are amazingly fast. I was able to backup 21,000 photographs in about 55 minutes. So far no issues and I’d recommend these drives for network use.

It was time to upgrade old 2TB drives and these were perfect. No issues since installation. The integrated IronWolf utilities in Synology instantly detected these as applicable drives.

Upgraded from eight 10TB HGSTs to four Seagate 20TB drives. The Seagates are quieter and run cooler. They are also slightly faster. Problem free so far. For redundant bulk storage of large media files these disks can’t be beat.

I checked all over the Internet and Segate is now producing higher quality drives than WD. I bought four to up the Synology 4 bay unit. I went from 5 to 12. These are very quiet and seem not to overheat on long transfers. My only problem is how to backup 32 TB of storage. Four 10plus external WD drives.

We use these in our QNAP NAS in our editing suite. We are running 3-5 editing machines a day, all accessing the data on these drives at the same time for 5-6 days a week. We ran about 2 years before one of the drives even got a slight health risk. Highlight reccomend

Installed into a prebuilt CLX that needed a little more storage for HD video. Very quite and smooth running.
Alysha Pfannerstill (verified owner) –
Well packed and sent, good quality product, working well in my symbology NAS system.

B&H once again exceeded my expectations. While is common to find good prices at one store, good service at another, and fast delivery at a third, B&H has consistently delivered on all three for me. They have and will continue to be my first choice for electronics and photography related items.

These drives seem solid for a NAS (or other use). Both drives had no error sectors and have been working great for a few weeks. My NAS uses up too much memory from the drives for system purposes but that’s not Seagate’s fault. Buy bigger drives than you need if you intend to use them with a NAS!

I have been buying SEAGATE hard drives for over 20 years now. I have literally used them all but SEAGATE has never let me down. Their drives are built rugged and are beyond reliable. This is the largest single drive that they make and it does great for me because I film and edit 4K content and it gives me plenty of room for that. This is a must buy.

I don’t have an ultra-quiet setup, but have not heard a peep from these drives (ordered 2). I was disappointed to see they have 2TB less than advertised available to use, so expect to only have 14.5TB available to start with. I feel like they should advertise the capacity based on what’s available to the end user to use. It’s definitely misleading. I did hear a few clicks when first fired up, but quiet since. It seems under certain rare conditions, these will make noise when they want to, but have not had an issue with noise otherwise; I only hear my fans. I use them in a RAID 0 config as Plex movie storage. B&H shipped quickly and the drives were packaged well. I will definitely order from B&H again.

It works very well and added a lot of data to it with no problems. As for the 12 TB, it isn’t even 11 TB. It has 10.9 TB of space on it, I don’t know how they get away with it. But almost 11 TB of space is a lot of space.

Caught these at a good price and had to pickup several. Great start to my NAS expansion.
