I purchased 3 of these to populate my synology NAS. Other than running a little warmer than the drives I had in there previously, I have no complaints.

Although I have worked in the field of computer science for more than 20 years; It is the first time I buy a NAS for my personal use. Synology DiskStation DS1019 + 5-Bay NAS Enclosure I have only used it for 2 weeks but it has been excellent. It is not the first Synology product that I bought in 2016 to buy a Synology RT1900ac Dual-Band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit Router and something that characterizes them is that their equipment has one of the best GUI (graphical user interface) I have seen. Extremely easy and intuitive. It only has 2 Seagate 3TB IronWolf 5900 rpm SATA III 3.5 internal NAS HDD disks installed at the moment, I am totally impressed with its performance and quality. In recent years I have only bought SDD, I must admit that the Seagate 3TB IronWolf 5900 rpm SATA III 3.5 Internal NAS HDD have shown an exceptional performance, although I have them just 2 weeks ago, they have been working 24/7 during those two weeks. I have transferred the content of the portable HDDs and internal use I had, in addition, I have been using the Download Station and generating several reports, although the NAS I have in my Master Room, I have not heard any noise from them.

A bit too early to be sure. But it has 3 good features: Low price, high capacity and quiet operation (quiet enough for my needs).

Installed 2 into a QNAP enclosure in RAID configuration. No problems at all. They were a little noisy when transferring from my old server but now that the enclosure is moved to the basement, no worries!

I bought a Twin Pack of these drives in December, 2018, and after spending a full week transferring files onto them, one of the two crashed irreparably. B&H wouldnt refund. Seagate would only replace. Damage was already done. Client walked. Thanks a lot!

The drives work great in the Synology DS220+

The headline says it all. I will only buy Ironwolf drives and only from BH.

Setting up NAS for storage- easy, fast, intuitive.
Stacey Wiza (verified owner) –
These things are fast and seem to be made for my Synology. Work perfect so far.
Ericka Ullrich (verified owner) –

Ima Kautzer (verified owner) –
These drives provide the quality and reliability I need for my family’s NAS.
Ella Hegmann (verified owner) –
I needed another Ironwolf for my new NAS set up.. My concern was CMR vs SMR. So far so good with the drives.
Jules Stanton (verified owner) –
These drives seem to work fine in the limited time I’ve been using them in a NAS. However, they are very noisy when seeking. Don’t get them if you plan to use them in a viewing room or listening room where noise would be a distraction. I might replace these with a different brand at some point and use these somewhere else.

Installed 2 drives in Synology DS220+ NAS. Good performance and relatively quiet. Very satisfied!
Jabari Adams (verified owner) –
I love B&H… And the service is top notch!!!
Susie Bergstrom (verified owner) –
I bought this as a spare drive since I already purchased 12 pcs for our new Synology NAS server. What I love about this drive is their 16TB capacity which makes it a great investment for creating big storage arrays!
Grayson Kiehn (verified owner) –
Currently sitting in a small enclosure on my desk at arm’s length. When I search through file folders, I can hear its little clicks and clacks, but it’s minimal. I’ve only had it for a month or so, but so far, it’s been fast & dependable. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.
Abner Corwin (verified owner) –
Great drives for NAS. Nothing to say except silent and efficient.
Jerald Russel (verified owner) –
It was easy to install, but it is a little noisier than I expected.
