I only use the IronWolf drives in my QNAP NAS drive to ensure the safety of my photographs. A NAS drive is designed to run 24×7 for long periods and you need a dependable drive to avoid losing images.

quick, hassle-free shipping great product.

Purchased these drives for a Synology NAS. The drives installed easily and are functioning as expected. They are very quiet while running and produce little heat. They were a good purchase.

I bought eight of these and one was throwing SMART errors out of the box. Called Seagate to get it replaced under warranty and was told they only pay shipping one way and only ground with a four to five day expected ship time. Id have to pay return shipping for my dead drive and if I wanted the replacement in a day Id have to pay $45 for express shipping. They said it would be better to have B&H replace it as they have better shipping policies. Thats crazy that the manufacturer (who produced the bad drive) has to rely on their partner resellers because their service on warranty items is so bad. Theyre good drives, its too bad that Seagate doesnt stand behind them when they do have an issue. One star off for the terrible warranty experience.

The Seagsre NAS works as advertise. I’ve taken all files from my lapiop and stored them on the NAS. I am seriously thinking about buying another one.

Ordered these because they are some of the most cost effective drives of this capacity in the market. Being industrial type drives hopefully they last, even if they are seagate drives.

I use it with my DS920+ NAS, wish I have ordered 5 drives, because now without an extra drive, I don’t have a spare one to switch. Anyways, it’s important to notice that all IronWolf and IronWolf Pro drives are based on CMR technology which is good for NAS.

Works great, does what it is supposed to do.

I’m using these drives in a QNAP TVS-672XT. No issues, drive are quick and fairly quite. Some noise when transferring large amounts of data. I would recommend this drive for NAS use.

Very fast a little bit noisy

I bought two identical drives. One or the other of them makes clunking noises when the drive is being accessed. I have a friend with the exact same drives and NAS, and his is virtually noiseless, so I think there is a manufacturing issue with the drive(s). Other than the noise, they are really fast. Since Ive only has them a few days, I cant speak to durability.

I have bought from B&H before. Always great value, Fast Service and Quality products. I am so very pleased with this drive, I bought two.

I used this drive to replace to old drives in an old Drobe 4bay. It mounted and was recognized by the Dashboard software. Took about 18hrs before Drobe would let me start putting data on it but the wait was worth it. Looks like i will be ordering another one soon.

I have a thunderbolt RAID box attached to my Mac. This is the ONLY 10TB drive I tested that works for me — other I tested weren’t detected. I’m slowly upgrading, one by one, so this is actually my 4th drive – 4 to go 🙂 So far everything is fine.

I bought this drive to go into an external enclosure that housed a smaller drive used for Time Machine backups on a MacBook Pro. I outgrew the old drive and swapped it for this one. Installation was simple and the performance is quite good. It is a bit louder than the previous drive and I can hear it when in use, but I don’t find it objectionable, even in a relatively quiet environment. It will take me a while to fill this one up!

Worked perfectly and was super easy to break down into 3 separate volumes using Windows 10 Computer Management program. My choices were 2tb for General Purpose-2, and 5tb each for Back-up-1 & Back-up-2

Needed to replace a 4TB hard drive and find a great deal on this 8TB.

I’m constantly buying more and more of these as my production company continues to grow. We’ve switched over to fully shooting RAW video on projects so we need all the storage we can get haha!
