Works wonderfully in my Synology Raid System.
Delaney Christiansen (verified owner) –
installed in synology nas, very lightly used over 16 months. smart extended test says drive failing- replace with bad sectors. I know that a small percentage go bad in even good products but I was expecting more. Other 4 drives that are older and not this “quality” running just fine.
Nickolas Parker (verified owner) –
Works great, does what it is supposed to do.
Jayson Hermiston (verified owner) –
Have had 4 of these drives (2 kits) for 6 months and they are working without problems (knock on wood). I will be ordering more.
Delphia Harris (verified owner) –
Seagate is my go-to brand for hard drives. I got these on sale recently and put them in my Synology 4 bay NAS. Running smoothly with good transfer speeds. I expect them to be reliable like all my other Seagate drives.

Upgrading my NAS from 8x 4TB Drives to 8x 6TB drives for more capacity. I have bought four of these drives so far and they are working exactly as they should. I’ll buy the other four next month and finish the upgrade. Very happy with them in my FreeNAS build. I am running a Raid-Z2 for redundancy and so my available space was approx 20TB before and it will be approx 32TB after. Plenty of room for our photos, videos, projects, home storage, audio, etc. For now anyway.

I know these things are never as advertised but the drive I got is only 9TB. Funny how it is never off in the customer’s favor. Nevertheless, it seems like it works well.
Clinton Zulauf (verified owner) –
Great price, fast shipping, packed well; will buy another later.
Birdie Borer (verified owner) –
It might be expensive, but relative to a few years ago its totally worth it.
Tremayne Cummings (verified owner) –
These drives are made for the durability and abuses from any NAS. The value of having 12TB per drive is a great value for any NAS.
Clifford Ledner (verified owner) –
I have 4 of these now running 24/7 in my QNAP nas. They are quiet and cool and the Seagate tools are a plus being controlled by the nas. I have never had a problem with Seagate drives and use them exclusively in all my machines.

Works great in our Synology 4 bay NAS.The NAS is Like a new lease on life. With tons of space, we’re moving our old DVD archive routine onto the NAS. When a drive fails (which it will) more Iron Wolfs will replace with no down time or data loss.

I have purchased a number of Seagate Iron Wolf drives over the past 5 years. I disappointed that the failure rates are higher than comparable Western Digital NAS drive. I use these in several Synology Disk Station NASs.
Lexi Mohr (verified owner) –
It’s fast; I got 250MB/sec copy when copying three drives to this one at once. It’s not very loud, and for the price it’s a lot of space.
Santa Smith (verified owner) –
I was surprised how quickly the prior 4TB WD Reds filled up. (it all those backups and a lifetime of photos). These didn’t appear on the approved drive list for my box, but the 10TBs were. Much to my delight, the 12’s went in with no problem. I replaced one at a time. Since I’m using RAID 1, my NAS immediately recognized the new drive and spent the next day and a half synchronizing. When it was done, I put the other new IronWolf in. Same scenario. When the sync was complete everything was as it should be, except bigger and faster! Great deal on these B&H helped too.

in a RAID 1 array inside a QNAP 431P. Quiet and cool. Hitting BW limits on GbE, 110+ MB/s.
Kip Schuppe (verified owner) –
Easy to use plenty of storage quiet and dependable
Tina Huels (verified owner) –
Pair up with my Synology Nas 1821 work smooth and very great for large data transfer with 10gb network.
Chelsie Torp (verified owner) –
in a small NAS, two of these are have been reliable and quiet

Perfectly good spin drives. Work fine. I’ve had about 12 in a server for the last three years and not one has failed yet… (Knock on wood). For the price and the size, I think this is the best spin drive on the market.
