The Apple hard drive stopped working on the 24 iMac. A it has a connector for the temperture sensor, looked to fin the substantial equivalent and B&H has exactly what was needed. Opned the unit up, put in the new drive and thinhs are working great.

My operating system told me, replace your hard disk drive it is ready to fail….. how did it know that ??? oh well… so here came the replacement drive… and the installation was a breeze…. the transfer of my data was easy and uneventful and now I have 2TB of storage instead of 1 TB

I like have a large drive like this for backing up large video projects. This drive works great but I was surprised to see it not work properly with my exernal SATA usb reader. The only way I could get it to work properly was to insert it into my Mac Pro tower.

I’ve used Seagate drives for a number of years and I chose this one to install in my PC mainly for photography storage. Installation in the PC was effortless since I had an open slot and all needed wiring in place. Rebooted the PC and all was well.

I have been using this drive for a few months now. Installation was easy and performance is great. I would recommend and buy this drive again.

I use this drive as storage for video material, and it works great for a much cheaper price. Sure it’s heavy and not extremely portable as others, but it’s a good compromise if you’re looking into saving money.

Works like a charm with no fan issues – at least it did here. Great price and outstanding vendor, B&H is the best. Ask any photographer!

I ordered this HDD after having another HDD fail in my PC. Upon arrival, this drive would spin up, then stop. Windows 10 would not recognize it and it would not work in another PC.

So far so good. Use for replacing drives in the Lacie D2? encasement

it works fine, but since it is OEM it does not come with any packaging, instructions or cables. power cable is present already in the computer, but needed to buy the data cable to make it work. price is right for this item.

Amazing Product. Loved it

Four stars thus far since I’ve only had these for a couple weeks now, but I purchased 4 of these drives and they’ve worked wonderfully in updating the storage for my Pegasus R4 Thunderbolt RAID. They’re a pinch faster than the OEM 1TB Toshiba drives they’re replacing and just as quiet. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and would easily recommend them for this purpose.

I put this in a HTPC that I leave running constantly. The drive is running great and is very fast.

After fighting with extreme slowness for data write/transfers/interaction, swapping of 3 motherboards, and other components. I determined the WD green drive,(yuck)was the problem. I read the reviews on this drive first and then B&H beat the competition as usual when it comes to price. As a Sr. Network Administrator I, like most others in the same field tend to want a specific and precise answer for trouble shooting. So when I read the negative reviews of this hard drive. I felt like the people complaining did not have a complete and detailed understanding of what they were doing. Therfore, they posted a negative review. Or least the trouble shooting was not truly listed showing why they thought the drive was bad. Others, unfortunately received a bad hard drive. It happens on ALL products and if mine was DOA. I would have just replaced it. The shipping was smooth and quick from B&H. This drive was simple to install the SATA connections as usual. The pc fired up immediately, the drive performed flawlessly, and I was suprised how quickly Win7 Ultimate 64-bit was installed on a 2TB drive. It is then I suddenly realized I love Seagate products and do not like WD much. What makes this product great is Seagates support, reliability, and customer service. Also, you guys should know by now this is listed as bare bones. This means it does not come with SATA cables or anything else.

An excellent price for adding more storage of virtual machines using an esata dock for fast data transfers and hot swappability. With each new drive I also get a StoraDrive anti-static case by Newer Technology. It’s a great way to manage multiple hard drives.
