Seagate does.

Note that this is an OEM roduct — it does not come with a data cable or mounting screws. Fortunately I had these from an old computer. The disk is installed and working just fine.

I use two of these Barracudas in my personal Synology NAS, because I’d previously used Barracudas in RAID servers for business and never had a failure.

Quality and timeliness of product was excellent.

The staff was helpful, and since I knew what I wanted they had my hard drive out for in just a few minutes.

Hard to believe hard drives have come down so much in price. These are a great deal! 3TB, that is a lot of space! We are using these as part of a RAID for our production environment.

Great price for a drive that has speed and storage.

This just popped right in and easily accepted the new OS. 2 TB means I have so much freedom with space.

The hard drive installed with no problem. It has been working flawlessly.

Used for a raid 1 enclosure. Works like a charm.

There are three things you can do to your computer to speed it up. First, try to max out the memory (at least 16 megs). Second, get the fastest hard drive (not ssd*). Third, upgrade the CPU. I listed these in cost, and while its a toss up between memory and hard drive – try memory first. My original computer (an Intel I7 – 16 megs) came with a 1.5 TB hard drive. It was a SATA 1. It was getting long in the tooth, and was creating drive problems. I decided to clone it to a 2 TB SATA drive. The cloning problem choked on the bad sectors. After doing some research, I successfully cloned the drive. The clone drive was dragging. Spying a sale at B&H I purchase two of the 2TB SATA 3 drives and clone one of them. I then defragged the drive and tested the speed. It was reading and writing better than 5 times the speed of my old SATA 1 drive. No your probably thinking, what about those bad reviews, drive not working and failing. Well experience has told me, if it works – its great. Problem deal with it. I put the second SATA 3 to work as my back up drive. I created an image of the first drive and use it for the daily backups. And that image has been backed up to a system server. – I can sleep nights, can you? So, in conclusion – I would recommend this drive and make sure you have a copy of Seagates Disk Wizard (its free.) Back up your important data, etc. to two separate locations.

Installing this hard drive was simple and quick. Seagate has done a good job at making the transfer of information from the old hard drive to the new one. It took me about 1/2 hour for the whole process.

I have over 15 of these drives in my operation. Single platter=high reliability IMHO. And I currently have over 100 Hard Drives of various makes and sizes purchased over the years. Seagate reliability has been the best in my operation. (Friends don’t let friends buy WD 🙂 If you need a drive. Just buy this and move on.

This is excellent. It is just what I hope for, and it works extremely well. I have it on a very fast external connector hooked to my Mac Pro, and I use it to backup files when I want to reduce my storage. I have a 13 TB raid array, but even that gets full, so I backup to this 3 TB external drive and free up some disk space. No issues, no problems, no worries.

Using in a 5 year old Mac – set up two in RAID format and now have plenty of secure memory. Fast delivery, breeze of an install. Very happy.

I’m using the drive for media/games in an HTPC. Paired with small SSD for the OS and apps the system really flies. Initially Win8.1 was having a hard time detecting the drive (which can happen when dealing with multi drive configurations) but after I initialized/mapped the drive via disk management everything has been working fine. Also, it’s OEM so don’t expect any screws/manuals/etc. but if you’ve built or serviced PC’s before this really shouldn’t be an issue.

This is my 5th seagate hard drive added to my RAID system. Over the past 7 years I have had my RAID system, only one drive has failed and needed replacement and that was one of the original drives (7 yrs old.)

Cheaper than hardbody drives, and works just as great.
