I bought this particular drive for a friend’s PC as he needed a higher capacity hard drive. I just got it installed. So far, I’m happy with the drives of this type, in my PC. I recommended this for his.

Good JDD.

I bought them for my Freenas setup. Had my doubts about it’s performance over WD red. But these drives works just fine and didn’t have any hickups during the install or after that. recommended!

this drive did not show in any computer, I try to Mac and Windows.

3 TB is good size to backup your photo and video files.

Everyone loves it and i love it. I have no issues with it. I did have an issue at first where my BIOS would recognize the HDD but not in Windows. All I had to do was find it through CMD Prompt and put in a few commands to make changes to the drive and it works flawlessly now. It may have been just a compatibility issue with my X570 Chipset Motherboard, but it is easily fixable.

Unless you are working large-scale professionally, this is the last place you need to look. When copping between hard drives it did a steady 250 mb/s.(This is a 4/16 6-year old desktop.) Right click on computer and hit manage to get to the setup, took me a little bit to get there on Win 10.

We use over 100 of these a year to work and store our video projects

I purchased this as a backup drive for my 13in. MacBook Pro. I also bought a hard drive dock from OWC. I’ve got it connected via FireWire 800 and it’s working great so far. No complaints here!

I have two of these in use with a Drobo and they are reliable drives with quick read and write speed. Perfect for backing up and working with photos and video.

Great HDD but Seagate has gone the cheap route by packing HDD in plain cardboard box with no documentation or DiscWizard software which is most likely the reason for a lower price.

It was my favorite brand and i still have 3 internal HDDs and 1 external. All old and working. But this one I have bought worked only for two days. Immediately after installation I have noticed that windows became very slow, than I tried to use seagate tools for windows (I have win 8) and it showed me compatibility issues and installation failed. Hm, great support isn’t it? I downloaded DOS version and it shows me a lot of mistakes. If you want save your time and money check for other brands. (by the way I quote another review from this site: Used to buy Seagate but they keep on crashing on me right before the warranty ends. From today Seagate for me is DEAD as UNRELIABLE and LOW QUALITY

This is a replacement drive for my C Drive on my main computer. So far it works great. Very quiet and quite fast.

I already had one of these drives in light-duty use before ordering this one to replace the failed drive in an external drive enclosure, an especially economical repair at this price. The one I have may not be subject to hardcore heavy-duty operation, but it IS subject to frequent installation in and removal from a removable drive bay. It takes all that handling just fine, so I couldn’t resist ordering yet another one.

Works fantastic. Never had any concerns.

Obviously a nice size drive with a great price and quick service!

It’s a hard drive. It works as advertised. No issues with the item and the packing + shipping was good.

I’m not a fan of Seagate drives because they seem to fail more than other brands. That said, I needed an exact replacement for my NAS RAID and this was it. This model is slightly thinner than a standard 3.5 inch drive I have in another NAS and it also seems to run cooler which I hope is a plus.

It’s an OEM model so it doesn’t come with a manual or all sorts of silly stuff. But I didn’t want that. I wanted a cheap, fast, easy to install drive that does the job. And it does indeed. It has a 512 byte sector size so it’s compatible with everything.
