Although 3TB are getting a little small….the Barracuda provides us with our archiving and back up system data storage solution!

The shipment was fast as always and without problems, the hdd works well and my pc recognized it immediately, perform a small test of speed and everything looks good. Now what is left is to expect if it has good durability.

I have a Maxtor’s one Touch III backup system. my 750GB second drive has dead on me. I took a chance and bought two 2TB Drives and madding into 2TB RAID backup and worked well. This is big cost saving for me.!!

I use these drives to do incremental backups of my lRAID system. They have never failed and are fast.
Marvin Schmitt (verified owner) –
This HDD would spontaneously disconnect from my Mac Pro. This happened whether the drive was connected through a e-SATA disk dock, or whether it was mounted to an internal bay. I purchased 3 of these drives and 2 exhibited the problem. I would advise avoiding this product.

Always purchased Seagate Barracuda drives for the last 10 years. had very low replacements units these drives rung 24×7 365 in a raid 6 setting. Great price too.

This is the 20th 2TB drive I’ve purchased from Seagate and it performs just as well as every other Seagate drive I have. It’s easy to install, easy to format and displays zero failed areas after an extensive diagnostic scan. I absolutely recommend Seagate Hard Disk Drives.

Added on as an extra drive. Just plugged it in, formatted it in windows and off I went. Gave it 4 stars becuase I have to wait and see how long its going to hang around.
Keyon Nikolaus (verified owner) –
Performs as intended

I’ve used Seagate Barracudas for over 10 years now. Until the SSDs get cheaper, I’ll keep buying them.

Vidal Moore (verified owner) –
Had no problems with it. Tax wasn’t an issue. Everything went smoothly

I bought five of these drives for a Drobo RAID setup and after just over a year all but one of them have had to be replaced under warranty apart from the one that failed this week, which is now out of warranty. An 80% failure rate is totally unacceptable. I may have had a bad batch but I cannot recommend using this product, or any other Seagate product for that matter.
