One pair of these has been installed on my workstation in RAID1 configuration to back up raw files being processed on the primary ssds. When image processing is complete this drive and the main ssds are cleared subsequent to the files being duplicated to multiple DAS units.

Great packaging by B&H, double box, ensured that the HDD did not get here DOA. Haven’t bought Seagate HDD in a while and this one reminded me to keep them in mind in the future. Installed the drive easily on a MacPro computer and Disk Utility found the drive and partitioned it without fuss. The Drive has been installed for about a month without any problems. I’m using this drive for the Time Machine for the computer.

Bought five of these for a Drobo 5n and within days of installing, one has already failed. I will most likely be switching them out slowly for different drives as such a failure is pretty unacceptable and now I don’t trust the rest.
