I bought it as a replacement for my RAID. Good price performance ratio.
Chadd McLaughlin (verified owner) –
It was easy to order from the website and arrived a day early so I was able to get my system set up early and the drive is working well.
Aiyana Swift (verified owner) –
So far, so good.
Faustino Rice (verified owner) –
I purchased 5 of them and have 3 of them in use and they are performing as expected.
Julianne Hodkiewicz (verified owner) –
Great HDD. I’m using it for storage of video files while editing movies, and it works very well. it’s fast, quiet and doesn’t get too hot.
Sid Heaney (verified owner) –
The hard drive is nice, but I find it a bit slow. Runs a lot like a 5400 rpm drive. I will use it as a backup drive, not good as the main boot drive
Adella Nader (verified owner) –
Seems to work pretty well!
Bernadine Lehner (verified owner) –
Got three of these for 3 TB RAID0. Fast! Over 500 Mbytes/sec using RAID. Reliability to be determined.
Eldon O’Conner (verified owner) –
Own 20+ off these drives for video editing. Tried the WD Caviar Black but these Seagate Barracudas have performed faster during editing.
Emil Morar (verified owner) –
This hard drive is great for storing my things, fast for an hard drive.
Aliyah Schulist (verified owner) –
Reasonable price for a 2TB HD. Quite and decent read/write speeds.
Miles O’Connell (verified owner) –
I added two these drives to my existing NAS setup and they work great. Performed a 2 day burn-in without problems be fore implementing into my system without incident.
Rocio Mills (verified owner) –
I wanted to expand my disk drive space and I bought this brand previously so I trust it. It has worked in all of my builds. This drive is perfect for any budget build.
Andreanne McClure (verified owner) –
I use the drive for video production and another one for backup on my mac pro. I edit on the one that is in one of the bays inside the computer. I back up to the one on my external esata drive. I haven’t encountered any problems with them yet. They’re fast enough for music and video production ( 7200 rpm) and have enough space do substantial work.
Harmony Hessel (verified owner) –
Plugged it in and it was ready for use.

not dependable. leaving computer on the several days at a time must have been to much for it. Did not use hard, had no more than 100G on it. Poor manufacturing standards. I’ll see if i can get an exchange, I doubt it. A cheap drive with return shipping will now cost as much as a better one.
Alfonzo Rice (verified owner) –
Great perfomance, I use it with a hotswap bay so with esata y get a 180 MBPS write speed its super fast, I have installed an SSD, its work incredibly well with a 2 year old computer. If your use this for video, its perfect. Must buy, i own 5 Barracuda drives. Total of 20 TB, I know storage, don’t buy green drives EVER!!!

Purchased to be a data disk for a new Windows 7 setup. Don’t bother trying to get the Seagate DiscWizard to work (it never did for us). Windows 7 was fine for formatting.

llego rapido a nuestros estudio y funciona a la perfeccin

Good upgrade from the older Barracuda drives from Seagate. This is the best and most cost effective drive for long term video archiving. Just buy a few USB 3.0 docks and you are good to go!
