After doing programming and repairs on computers for nearly 40 years I’ve found that the 3.5 Seagate’s are one of the best drives available. They have far less failures then the 2.4 drives and do not have the limited Read/Write cycles of the SSD’s. The prices per gigabyte storage is the best. Performance is as good as any 2.5 drive. The larger format dissipates heat better which is a part of why they are much more reliable.

I use this as a storage drive on my home PC, with my main drive an NVMe ssd. So speed isn’t much of a concern (5400 rpm vs 7200) and it should be pretty reliable. Plus it is very quiet. Finally, family of Seagate drives offer good value for the $ in general, and B&H had the best price I could find, so overall I am quite pleased so far.

Great value for the price. Harddrive got to my door within a few days and was a breeze to get installed and set up for immediate use. Perfect product for anyone looking to store bulk photos and videos on their desktop.

Backing up your computer is essential to continue working in today’s atmosphere of power surges and spikes as well as program updates that mess up your programing or back up wiping out files or corrupting them!! You need back ups and several back ups won’t hurt if your computer crashes, and you can’t access important data , like customer files you will only let it happen to you once !!!

the price was great put I was not worth it. I bought this to replace my 6 year old 1tb WD hdd thinking it was a upgrade because my was so old BUT after installing it my computer got so so much slower. Zbrush takes so long to auto save now makes you wanna stop working. I also encounter a problem when playing warzone as I get a pop up message saying out of space when I still have about 3tb of free space. Conclusion : If you looking for a upgrade this is not it as my 6 year old drive still outperforming this

I purchased this drive to use as another back-up for photos, I out grew the last one. I use a plug and play HD dock for this one. The price is right and it does the job.

Not a speed demon, but wasn’t looking for that. Needed extra storage for backups which are done overnight.
Wyman Ziemann (verified owner) –
Terrible! I ordered two of them and one never worked. Bad packaging too, the units arrived loose inside the boxes and, still more estrange, despite to be two identical HDD, the boxes was different, mmm… More than enought to return it (both of them) and change brand. B&H was great with the service and helped me with the process, so if there is one star is thanks to them.

I bout this to replace/upgrade the stock HDD for a PS$ slim, it was and easy enough process to make the change and the new drive works great. Also B&H shipped super fast as always. A+

Works fine, I used it to replace an older drive that failed after many years.
