So far so good !

installed in synology nas, very lightly used over 16 months. smart extended test says drive failing- replace with bad sectors. I know that a small percentage go bad in even good products but I was expecting more. Other 4 drives that are older and not this “quality” running just fine.

good harddrive went right to work with no issues on my system

Easy to use plenty of storage quiet and dependable

Installed 2 into a QNAP enclosure in RAID configuration. No problems at all. They were a little noisy when transferring from my old server but now that the enclosure is moved to the basement, no worries!

Used on my Synology 2 bay NAS. It’s been almost 6 months and no issues.

working perfectly

I unplugged (hot-swap) a couple of old WD20EARX drives from my Synology DS212 and replaced them with these. The WD drives were fine, but I ran out of space. These drives are working fine but do make a strange repetitive clicking noise sometimes. This could of course be the DS212 at fault and not the drives themselves, but the WD20EARX drives never made strange noises quite as loud. The DS212 made increasing the partition size painless so this was a pain-free size upgrade for my NAS.

I used three of these in my NAS and got 17.5 TB using SHR on a Synology DS1019. This gave me over three times my previous capacity and I have room to expand as needed. As of 1/16/20 the cost per TB was: Disk Cap Cost Cost/TB 8 TB $220 $27.50 10 TB $262 $26.20 – Best Value! 12 TB $331 $27.58 14 TB $445 $31.77 16 TB $539 $33.69

Working great and reliably so far.

Bought 8 of these for my Synology DS1817+ NAS. They have been running 24/7 for a few months and over 50TB written so far without a hitch. I run all of the tests weekly and no issues at all. Cons – None really. Purchased from BH because I trust them for returns. Fortunately I haven’t needed any.

As usual, Seagate HD’s work well, and reliably over long times.
Hallie Bashirian (verified owner) –
I have put five of these drives in a Synology NAS, connected via the 100 mb ethernet connector. They work just fine, no issues. and overall performance is very good. As a side note, I added an iSCSI (software ) connection that is close to SANS external storage speeds, and the performance was better, using FCPX for editing 8 to 12 minute educational videos.

My NAS drive was starting to fail so I didn’t hesitate to purchase this one as it was on Netgears Approved List. Put it in the enclosure and it rebuilt the Raid without any problems.
Logan Parker (verified owner) –
These hard drive are just made for NAS, I use them in Synology NAS and haven’t had an issue to talk about so far !

I own 2 of these and they work perfectly

The Seagsre NAS works as advertise. I’ve taken all files from my lapiop and stored them on the NAS. I am seriously thinking about buying another one.

Plug in, format, and away we go. Good product.
Zaria Hudson (verified owner) –
the best hard drive, no doubt…it lives up to the demands of any professional and you have the peace of mind that it will work well for a long time without having to worry about the dreaded failures that occur on other hard drives
Mossie Balistreri (verified owner) –
Those 6TB drives are an affordable NAS drive that is well likes among the users. I picked it because of it’s price, it’s good reviews and the fact that it includes 3 year warranty and data recovery service within the warranty period. So far – no complaints.
