I replaced my old Constellation ES.3 drives with these and they seem to be quieter and have updated onboard diagnostic tools. Overall happy with the purchase.

Have been utilizing Seagate or Western Digital drives for decades so to get this drive (3) at such a great price with no shipping and no tax makes me very happy

I have a few of these on a NAS system for several years, so far no one has failed. Under this condition, I can’t say how fast they are but at 5900 rpm are probably slower than the more standard 7200 rpm ones. It looks like for this kind of HDDs Seagate favours durability over speed but I don’t believe you will feel the difference in actual operation.

Still waiting an answer from B&H to know how I can get another one cause the one they sent to me doesn’t work.

Large capacity!!! I always need more space… After buying the Synology DS220+ I had to upgrade my drives within the first year… Seagate has always been the most reliable hard drive for me. I have had occasional bricks, but never an issue with replacements. A bit slower this time due to the supply chain issues. I won’t blame Seagate or B&H for that.

Excellent Drive for NAS

I purchased 6 of these to place in my Synology NAS. All work well, no failures. They are reasonably quiet drives, just humming along 7X24.

I like this. The operation noise is quite quiet. You must buy it.

I’m not devoted to any particular brand of mechanical HDD; over many years I’ve had reliable service from a wide variety of Seagate and WD drives. The lower tier OEM drives installed in pre-built mass market computers tend to have slower read/write speeds, which can be annoying. This Seagate NAS HDD, which is definitely not lower tier, is quiet, reliable, and delivers about 220 MB/Sec.

I bought 5 of these. Probably should have purchased one extra as a spare. Plugged and played no issues. NAS up and running.

I purchased this to use with my Synology DS1520+. Not too noisy, but you can hear the workings of the drive some if you have it out in the open. In a cabinet, you probably won’t hear anything at all. Seems to be pretty fast for a non-SSD drive.

Used in synology NAS. low noise and reliable

Not had any problems with this drive. Works as promised, Excellent price. In addition to the excellent customer service, B&H does not charge sales tax on out-of-state purchases and shipping is free! I could buy my electronic equipment and accessories from any vendor, but I choose always to check-in at B&H Photo first. They almost never disappoint.

This is my second pair for a second NAS drive system. Love them.

I now own a few of these for my Drobo 5D3 and haven’t had any issues

I bought this drive to replace a failed drive in my Synology NAS. The purchase and delivery process was flawless. The installation and integration into my system was likewise without drama. I had previously attempted to replace the failed drive with one that was not on Synology’s approved list & it was a failure, so a word to the wise = save yourself the bother and choose from the approved list. In my case, B&H had multiple drives to choose from and Amazon did not.
