I use it with my DS920+ NAS, wish I have ordered 5 drives, because now without an extra drive, I don’t have a spare one to switch. Anyways, it’s important to notice that all IronWolf and IronWolf Pro drives are based on CMR technology which is good for NAS.

It still works a few weeks after purchase. Does what I want it to. Write speeds seem fast.
Modesto Nolan (verified owner) –
Not to mention very fast. I use a pair of these in the Synology NAS. Awesome pair to get the job done.

I had two open stations on an 8 station DS 1819+, but we had run low on space at 26 TB. These two drives integrated with the existing WD NAS drives and effectively doubled the size of available space. It took several days for the RAID to spread to the new drives, but when it was finished we had 48TB of storage available. No hiccups, issues, or anything.

Well built, heavy duty drives with an unusually long warranty. A little pricey but worthwhile for critical data backup.

Too bad I cannot give these drives zero rating as they deserve. They are noisiest and loudest drives I ever own in the last 35 years. They started failing in my NAS after 6 months of home usage which is not something I expected. I am running the in TrueNAS with server motherboard from SuperMicro and 32GB ECC RAM. I’ve contacted Seagate for RMA and for my surprise they were not served in my country even though they have an official importer and shipped overseas so I paid twice the incoming taxes for them. Last time I am buying Seagate. I’ve contacted Seagate support and their answer was not to my satisfaction to say the least. I did not know that they are shipping them oversears as if I knew I would prefer to dump them to the trash can and but something more relaible and less noisy.

Purchased a 4 pack and everything has been working smoothly since I installed them.

very nice

They are quiet and work as expected. They did not fit in the Synology as easily as I thought they would, but I got them to work after a few tries.
Hal Harvey (verified owner) –
It’s fast; I got 250MB/sec copy when copying three drives to this one at once. It’s not very loud, and for the price it’s a lot of space.
Arnulfo Schaefer (verified owner) –
It’s a great value for the performance in NAS setups.
Felix Hegmann (verified owner) –
Definitely reccomend these drives for bulk storage; I have my whole system backed up to these.

Coming from using external hard drives such as G drives, I must say that this Internal NAS HDD is blazing fast and easy to use….
Willie Senger (verified owner) –
We use these 4TB HDD to store, back-up and archive video projects, usually using three per project. We’ve never had a problem with Seagate drives
Mara Langosh (verified owner) –
The drive has been running well, but unfortunately I have a Fractal design case and the screw holes are further apart than in my previous 5tb drives, thus the screw holes on my drive bay tray are off and I can only have 2 of the 4 in there. It seems the drive is heavy enough where this wont be an issue, but its still too early to tell.

The drives I needed were not in stock, but I put my email on the notify list. They notified me a couple dats later, and I got my drives a few days after that! Thanks B&H!

Great hard drive. Seagate is always a safe and good reference. But this one feels a bit noisy to me compare to other Seagate Barracuda.
Roslyn McLaughlin (verified owner) –
Running quiet and fast in my QNAP NAS. Love the seagate warranty! in 15+ years I had one drive (of about 16 in total) fail (not this type!) Send it back to Seagate and got a replacement in two weeks – what more do you want from a HDD?

Bought 4 and all passed my preclear tests without issue. So far so good.
