A bit too early to be sure. But it has 3 good features: Low price, high capacity and quiet operation (quiet enough for my needs).
Jonas Hickle (verified owner) –
I’m using these drives in a QNAP TVS-672XT. No issues, drive are quick and fairly quite. Some noise when transferring large amounts of data. I would recommend this drive for NAS use.
Angie Abbott (verified owner) –
Exactly what it says on the tin – solidly built HDDs to stand the test of time. Exactly what’s expected and that’s not a bad thing. Not a bad price too.
Efren Osinski (verified owner) –
Easy setup and installation into my Synology DS218+. Pure Seagate quality as expected.
Archibald Borer (verified owner) –
Can’t never go wrong with this brand.

in a RAID 1 array inside a QNAP 431P. Quiet and cool. Hitting BW limits on GbE, 110+ MB/s.
Elza Hodkiewicz (verified owner) –
A fantastic 12TB solution, works beautifully with Synology technologies. A big drive with lasting performance.

I bought eight of these and one was throwing SMART errors out of the box. Called Seagate to get it replaced under warranty and was told they only pay shipping one way and only ground with a four to five day expected ship time. Id have to pay return shipping for my dead drive and if I wanted the replacement in a day Id have to pay $45 for express shipping. They said it would be better to have B&H replace it as they have better shipping policies. Thats crazy that the manufacturer (who produced the bad drive) has to rely on their partner resellers because their service on warranty items is so bad. Theyre good drives, its too bad that Seagate doesnt stand behind them when they do have an issue. One star off for the terrible warranty experience.

NAS drive for NAS devices. Working great thus far in my NAS.
Dahlia Schultz (verified owner) –
These drives work really well in a NAS system. We bought 4 and all work really well together. Going to get more when we run out of space.
Angelica Hodkiewicz (verified owner) –
They are being used in a synology set up. Take some time to spool up, and be heard spooling up and make fair amount of noise when being written to.
Novella Kiehn (verified owner) –
Works great and loads data quickly. Transferring older Hitachi drives on this gem. Great to have one solid drive that works, unlike WD. Need another for back up. Started using Iron Wolf drives for Drobo. Great product
Trever Kozey (verified owner) –
Arrived faster than promised, works as expected.
Larissa O’Kon (verified owner) –
Very competitive price, quick service with free shipping, great experience overall, will continue to shop at B&H.
Kendra Mueller (verified owner) –
Works great, does what it is supposed to do.
Margarita Barrows (verified owner) –
Bought it about 3 weeks ago and I’m impressed by the speed and how quiet it is.
Laverna Ritchie (verified owner) –
This is my first Seagate NAS drive. Prior to this drive I exclusively used WD Reds but after two drives failed on me less than 3 years after they were purchased, I figured I’d branch out and see what other manufacturers were out there. I haven’t had any issues crop up yet, but it’s still pretty early in the drive’s expected lifespan, so we’ll see if it holds up in the long run. The drive seems to be at least as good as the WD Reds I had before.
Cassie Corwin (verified owner) –
I put four of these on Synology Nas 420 !and it just works. Had it for 2 months now.
Luella Schinner (verified owner) –
Works wonderfully in my Synology Raid System.
Frederique Lemke (verified owner) –
This is good value for the amount of storage you get. I use them in a Synology NAS, they run quiet and cool.
