Have only used it for a couple of weeks. Installed as expected and is working as expected. The price was right.
Enola Simonis (verified owner) –
I have purchased a number of Seagate Iron Wolf drives over the past 5 years. I disappointed that the failure rates are higher than comparable Western Digital NAS drive. I use these in several Synology Disk Station NASs.
Myah Jones (verified owner) –
One of the 2 drives in this “twin pack” failed immediately after both passed beyond the 30-day B&H warranty. Thanks for nothing, B&H!
Kory Adams (verified owner) –
It might be expensive, but relative to a few years ago its totally worth it.
Ariane Anderson (verified owner) –
I won’t really know how well this drive works for 3-4 years. If it’s failed before then, it wasn’t a good choice. If it’s still running after 5 years, it’s excellent. One note is that it is noisier when seeking than the WD drives I was using.
Fredrick McKenzie (verified owner) –
Installed successfully in my Synology DS1517+ NAS without issue. Up and running for a couple weeks with no problems.
Trinity Hettinger (verified owner) –
They work until they don’t- I’d rather see reviews from folks who just lost a drive than from someone who’s been using it for a week. I have it up and running, it’s quiet, it does what it’s supposed to do. Switching brands to this one for now because I just lost a couple drives from another manufacturer.
Maybell Pfeffer (verified owner) –
Super reliable, period. This is my 6th one!
Aryanna Windler (verified owner) –
These drives have been reliable in general and competitively priced at B&H. Knowing that everything mechanical can fail, it’s nice to know that I have B&H behind me as well as the manufacturer’s warranty.
Lessie Lockman (verified owner) –
I own three of these hard drives. I use them for backup data. They are reliable, fast, and super quiet. They’re ideal for NAS boxes where noise is a concern.
Stuart Okuneva (verified owner) –
Works great, does what it is supposed to do.
Augustine Parisian (verified owner) –
I got this to replace a 3TB drive that died in my Drobo. Plugged it in but didn’t work. Rebooted Drobo FS and it was recognized and Drobo is back to having enough storage again.
Esta Cole (verified owner) –
Quiet, cool, reliable. They’re designed for NAS use, but they’re excellent for external enclosures, too. I’ve yet to have one fail.
Nicole Green (verified owner) –
I can’t weigh in on how reliable these drives are since I’ve had them up and running for a month, but I’ve had very good luck with Seagate in the past and expect these will hold out well.
Pattie Ortiz (verified owner) –
The new Iron Wolf is my new go to. Even the 5400 RPM is fine for backups and I can trust these drives!
Vallie Boyle (verified owner) –
So far so good they work. Filled up almost the entire NAS so it was days straight of constant writing to the 4 disks to build out the volume. So far so good. I’ll add a 5th maybe once the price comes down.
Maybelle Frami (verified owner) –
All perfect and fast delivery to iraq . I was on time Thank you all
Trever Padberg (verified owner) –
I’ve baught many ironwolf drives for my multiple Synology NAS setups in two offices. Both Pro and this Basic model. Always reliable. Only had to place 1 of 18 in an 8 year span as sectors were begining to fail.
Eve Grady (verified owner) –
Great drives for NAS. Nothing to say except silent and efficient.
Nickolas Gerhold (verified owner) –
These things are fast and seem to be made for my Synology. Work perfect so far.
