Caught these at a good price and had to pickup several. Great start to my NAS expansion.

As an avid photographer it is quite easy for me to acquire terabytes of images. It’s important to have a robust hard drive that can quickly pull images into post processing software. This Seagate 10TB NAS drive fits the bill.
Cecile Ziemann (verified owner) –
The Seagate IronWolf drives provide added visibility into there condition from Synology NAS devices beyond my previous choice which was Western Digital Red drives. I’m not sure if Seagate has a deal with Synology to allow that, or if they just implement a feature that WD doesn’t. In any case these drives are fast, have a 5 year warranty (Pro drives) and seem as quiet as my old WD drives.

I recently purchased the Synology DS920+ with 4 Seagate 8TB IronWolf Pro drives. My system has never worked faster.

Awesome customer service

I was looking for a large drive with a reasonable price and found it here.
Rahul Rowe (verified owner) –
These pretty much just work in my NAS so far. Havent had any problems. Time will tell as to how these hold up. Hopefully theyll last the full 5 years.
Hank Von (verified owner) –
We coupled the drives in our NAS system and they run perfectly so far
Forrest Runolfsson (verified owner) –
I use 4 disks in a Synology 1819+. They work perfectly fine.
Carolina Turcotte (verified owner) –
I purchased 4 of these for a DS920+. Two would not spin up – DOA right out of the box. Their replacement by B&H was handled quickly and efficiently. The replacements are running fine, although all of these 16Tb drives are very noisy – somewhat akin to sitting in a laundry room. By comparison, I’m running 4Tb IronWolf’s in a second DS920+ and they are almost silent.
Isabell Parisian (verified owner) –
Bought 9 already and very happy !
Marilyne Quitzon (verified owner) –
I purchased these drives for a home NAS to use in a RAID 1 configuration. They were easy to install and configure and are amazingly fast. I was able to backup 21,000 photographs in about 55 minutes. So far no issues and I’d recommend these drives for network use.
Olaf Berge (verified owner) –
Upgraded from eight 10TB HGSTs to four Seagate 20TB drives. The Seagates are quieter and run cooler. They are also slightly faster. Problem free so far. For redundant bulk storage of large media files these disks can’t be beat.
Emerald Maggio (verified owner) –
I’ve had these installed in a new PC build for 4 months – they work perfectly. It’s great to have enough room to not be worried about running out of space.
Ole Murray (verified owner) –
ordered three, one was doa with click of death and not passing smart tests, but quickly replaced by BH. first time ive had a seagate that was doa always had good luck with them lasting forever. regularly get the advertised throughput of 240-300 meg/sec with them. i only have them on a sata ii 300 meg controller, not that they would work faster on sata iii. only issues is they are noticeably audible, not ridiculous but more so then the drives they replaced, and enough to turn my dogs head in wonder. so they are good in workstations or machine rooms, but might cause distraction if used when background noise is an issue such as recording with Mics in the same room. also, as is typical with hard drives they are exactly 6 trillion bytes, your machine will say they are 5.5TB. still around 10.6TB raw in a 3 drive raidz pool, and with compression even better. CMR per seagate.

I bought 2 of these for my home network on a raid 1 setup, no issues and also bought Seagate for its performance and reliability.
Edgardo Hauck (verified owner) –
Set up 4 of these in a raid5 array, getting around 500MB/s on my QNAP 872XT . Pricey, but for a NAS, this is the way to go!
Reanna Jaskolski (verified owner) –
It works very well and added a lot of data to it with no problems. As for the 12 TB, it isn’t even 11 TB. It has 10.9 TB of space on it, I don’t know how they get away with it. But almost 11 TB of space is a lot of space.
Tom Ebert (verified owner) –
perfect for my new raid set up

I purchased two of these to be housed in a two bay NAS. As a photographer and CAD tech I’m continuously adding both master CAD drawings and RAW digital images to my computer for editing. And continuously modifying them as each job progresses. With 14 TB X 2 storage in the Seagate Ironwolf drives I have ample space to securely store and backup my data.
