Buy this 2-Pack, not the singles, do the math, you’ll see why and your wallet will thank you!

I was a bit worried the higher rpm would be noisy but it isn’t. B&H is always great and was with the delivery on this as well. The drives are great and I hope to get many years of service from them. I’ve traditionally had good luck with these drives, but the 10 TB is larger than I’ve had in the past so we will see. Overall very happy and have good luck so far with them.

excellent hard drive and very quiet. Popped it straight into my NAS after opening and it worked with no issues.
Juliet Pfannerstill (verified owner) –
The price was the best on the market. The drive is quiet with plenty of storage. Plan to purchase another in the future.

So far so good !

Great NAS drive for large and small arrays. Quick read and write speeds for HDD, on the large size of capacity

I was surprised how quickly the prior 4TB WD Reds filled up. (it all those backups and a lifetime of photos). These didn’t appear on the approved drive list for my box, but the 10TBs were. Much to my delight, the 12’s went in with no problem. I replaced one at a time. Since I’m using RAID 1, my NAS immediately recognized the new drive and spent the next day and a half synchronizing. When it was done, I put the other new IronWolf in. Same scenario. When the sync was complete everything was as it should be, except bigger and faster! Great deal on these B&H helped too.

perfect addition to my Synology DiskStation

I purchased 6 of these to place in my Synology NAS. All work well, no failures. They are reasonably quiet drives, just humming along 7X24.

Received quickly with the terrific service I’ve long come to expect from B&H. Works as expected for the short while in service.
Josiane Hirthe (verified owner) –
Great drives for NAS. Nothing to say except silent and efficient.

I own three of these hard drives. I use them for backup data. They are reliable, fast, and super quiet. They’re ideal for NAS boxes where noise is a concern.

I put four of these on Synology Nas 420 !and it just works. Had it for 2 months now.

Too bad I cannot give these drives zero rating as they deserve. They are noisiest and loudest drives I ever own in the last 35 years. They started failing in my NAS after 6 months of home usage which is not something I expected. I am running the in TrueNAS with server motherboard from SuperMicro and 32GB ECC RAM. I’ve contacted Seagate for RMA and for my surprise they were not served in my country even though they have an official importer and shipped overseas so I paid twice the incoming taxes for them. Last time I am buying Seagate. I’ve contacted Seagate support and their answer was not to my satisfaction to say the least. I did not know that they are shipping them oversears as if I knew I would prefer to dump them to the trash can and but something more relaible and less noisy.

Bought to replace a failed drive

These drives seem to work fine in the limited time I’ve been using them in a NAS. However, they are very noisy when seeking. Don’t get them if you plan to use them in a viewing room or listening room where noise would be a distraction. I might replace these with a different brand at some point and use these somewhere else.

Sturdy, long-lasting, and trusted. I’ve used IronWolves for a long while now and I have nothing bad to say about them. Any failures or issues happen well after the expected lifespan. An easy recommendation.

the best hard drive, no doubt…it lives up to the demands of any professional and you have the peace of mind that it will work well for a long time without having to worry about the dreaded failures that occur on other hard drives
