I installed it in my Drobo system and just worked. No special instructions, no software to update, I just plugged it in and it worked. I can not say that about a lot of computer stuff.

I installed it in a Qnap TS-230 NAS as a single drive. It is much faster than the WD My Cloud that I used so far. However, the drive is very loud when accessed, compared to the MY Cloud that is basically silent. Also, it runs quite hot. With the Qnap default fan profile, the Seagate runs at 48C. I changed the fan profile to be more aggressive, so now it runs at 43C. It’s still quite high. Had I known this before, I would have looked into getting a helium filled drive, that are said to run much cooler.

This is my fourth set of IronWolf drives. Each for a separate project. I’ve found that I can depend on them to be very reliable.

its good product
Ericka Turcotte (verified owner) –
High performance. Too soon to say anything about reliability.
Roderick Hahn (verified owner) –
So far it performs very well, the oldest drives are 2 years old and never had an issue.

I purchased these for for their capacity in a video editing NAS which also utilizes a cache ssd to saturate a 10 gbps connection. The drives are perfect for my needs and have excellent endurance through long transfers of upwards of hundreds of gigabytes. I am planning to purchase more of these in the future.

The drives work great in the Synology DS220+

Great price and fast shipping from B&H. Purchased another drive to increase the capacity of my Synology NAS to match the other Seagate 10TB IronWolf drives that are already installed. High speed and reliable. Great drive for a great price.

Works wonderfully in my Synology Raid System.

Those 6TB drives are an affordable NAS drive that is well likes among the users. I picked it because of it’s price, it’s good reviews and the fact that it includes 3 year warranty and data recovery service within the warranty period. So far – no complaints.

This is my first Seagate NAS drive. Prior to this drive I exclusively used WD Reds but after two drives failed on me less than 3 years after they were purchased, I figured I’d branch out and see what other manufacturers were out there. I haven’t had any issues crop up yet, but it’s still pretty early in the drive’s expected lifespan, so we’ll see if it holds up in the long run. The drive seems to be at least as good as the WD Reds I had before.
Jacques Baumbach (verified owner) –
Purchased a 4 pack and everything has been working smoothly since I installed them.
Mallie Rohan (verified owner) –
Works great, does what it is supposed to do.
Dane Langosh (verified owner) –
No issues with package, I did insert that in my Synology and that works well, so I hope to use that 5-7 years without any issues.
Price Brekke (verified owner) –
Very fast a little bit noisy
Dean Leuschke (verified owner) –
Purchased these drives for a Synology NAS. The drives installed easily and are functioning as expected. They are very quiet while running and produce little heat. They were a good purchase.
Solon McClure (verified owner) –
Works fine in QNAP TS-128A (also worked in my old QNAP HS-210, don’t tell anyone)
Betsy Wilkinson (verified owner) –
These hard drive are just made for NAS, I use them in Synology NAS and haven’t had an issue to talk about so far !

It still works a few weeks after purchase. Does what I want it to. Write speeds seem fast.
