It works very well as a backup drive. It is fast even with 2TB of memory. I use Macrium Reflect as my backup software once a day. This works very smoothly. Since my laptop is 1TB, I use the extra 1TB space on the external hard drive for temporary storage of other files. The price is so low that it is not worth getting a lower capacity drive.

I purchased two of these drives one for my playstation 4 and one for my xbox 1 consoles the drives started off working fine but today exactly a month after I purchased the hard drives one hard drive stopped working. The hard drive stopped working on my xbox 1 and when I tried to connect it to my laptop it wasn’t appearing on my laptop I decided to send back both hard drives for a full refund.
