Of all of the ones I’ve bought, they work well and only one went bad after a while. I just filled it this one up with quality audio, video, photos from an event and notes for the client. These things work well, and the prices have come way down (like a COVID panic stricken stock market). I put raw footage on them for clients since they are cheaper to buy that SD cards. they are light, small and mail cheaply. Plus everyone has a USB drive.

No problem on initial setup. then it would not be recognized by the computer. a day later it was recognized. transferred some files over(as a backup). Fine for a week then not recognized by the computer again. Giving up on seagate

This is a great drive, just like the many other Seagate drives I’ve purchased. It is a bit larger than the 1 and 2 TB drives, but works great. I use it to back up my computer and external drives. Then I move this drive off-site for a month. Every 30 days I back everything up with it.
