Great price and super easy to use.

popped it out of the case and put into Ubiquiti Cloud Key Gen2 Plus to upgrade storage… works great. HOWEVER, don’t forget to backup the orig 1TB unit so you can restore the system to this new device or your Cloud Key must be reprogrammed in total. (buying this in the case and throwing away the case is much cheaper than buying the bare drive — go figure.

I needed extra storage for my 1TB PlayStation 4 and this hard drive did the job and for a great price. Looks very sleek and modern. Works great so far. The PS4 formatted the drive in about one minute and it was ready to go.

So simple when I had an issue and they resolved it quickly

I bought it to be used on my Seagate media player; at first it wouldn’t work but after some Googling, found out I need to reformat the HDD using MBR table and NTFS format. Apparently those disks now factory-shipped with GPT partition scheme. After re-format, disk worked fine without requiring external powered USB hub.

I bought this as an off-site Time Machine backup for our four MacBooks. It is very compact and works well as a small backup that fits in our fire safe. The performance is great.

In my opinion, Seagate makes the best drives, and this device is worthy of the Seagate name. It’s extremely lightweight and portable so you can take it anywhere. The 2TB storage provides plenty of capacity and the USB 3.0 connectivity is uber fast! This portable drive does not disappoint!

Very good for large and portable storage.

I’m using this drive to back up many of my photographs. It’s not the fastest drive out there, but for an off-site backup drive, it’s just what I needed. Len Holland

great for a backup!

Good external drive. I didn’t need SSD for this application. No problems at all.
Delaney Roob (verified owner) –
These are very reliable hard drives, great for video/audio work. I’m hoping they can increase size to 5TB+, until they make the SSD drives cheaper.
Deshaun Batz (verified owner) –
The drive works absolutely great. It’s small, fast and quiet. Fits in my old protective cases and has great design. If you need 2tb portable and reliable drive, get this one!

My very first computer in 1992 came with a Seagate Drive. I was told they were the most dependable at the time. I would say they still are.

I bought the product to transfer files from a Win XP computer to a Win 10 computer. I plugged this drive in & it set up itself .The transfer went without a hitch and didn’t have to reformat. The process was quick & easy. It is now my back-up.
