Seagate has been my go to for portable hard drives for many years and this one is serving as a back up of projects. What can I say, Seagate has never failed me while WD has several times.

I needed a simple, easy to use external hard drive to back up some photos. This external HD is plug and play and works immediately. Speed is good enough for the price I paid and I will be purchasing more in the future.
Jensen Ortiz (verified owner) –
Using this as a backup drive; it works fine. Speed is unexceptional but that’s not a problem for a backup drive.

Fast delivery, you know what you get. Great service!

I use it to transfer and edit video game footage. It is NOT 7200 rpm but I have had no freezes or crashes or slowing while editing HD footage on this drive.

This product works very well.

I bought the 2 TB, portable External Hard Drive which is more than enough storage for me. I back up all my files so as I won’t lose them if my desk top powers down or if the power goes out. I have a surge protector also. I like it because it is small, light and has a fast speed. I would have liked it if it was white,

Simply plug in the USB port of a computer and the computer system will recognize it automatically. It is very user friendly.

I use SSDs for editing but archive raw video and projects on HDDs. I’ve had great success and no problem from more than 15 years of hard drives. These, not so much. I bought two, one didn’t work and one was unbelievably slow. I could not transfer files to the first, even after reformatting it. Brick. The second took 6 hours to transfer 120G of files, often dipping below 1MB/s (topping out at 10Mb/s occasionally) I understand that HDDs are much slower than their solid state counterparts, but this is really bad. This makes me uncomfortable about the reliability of them. I see a lot of good reviews and have had success with WD in the past. So, like the review title suggests, maybe I got a bad batch.
