Cheapest way to get a 8TB HD. Open this up and remove the drive and you just saved yourself some $$ over buying a bare internal HD I have 5 of the and they work flawlessly.

Bought 2 of these 8TB hard drives. Easy set up but it took over 10 hours to transfer 1.4 TB of pictures.

I use this to simply store images in all formats, and some documents. It is stationary and not subject to periodic movement. It does the job as expected. I have other Expansion drives that all do the job and at a fraction of the cost of other units. Speed is not important for this function.

Overall Seagate is a great product, data read and write speed is fast, quality material such as the hard drive housing is dourable, needs a little more air circulation. Took about a minute to swap out the filled backup drive with this one. Seems to work perfectly. My only gripe is that the one it replaced had two USB ports in the front, which were useful. This has only the main single port in the rear.

This unit is perfect for archiving my images for redundancy and protection of all my files. I like to keep at least one copy off premises and have too many files for the cloud. I’ll be buying 2 more of these in the near future for the rest of my work. The size is great too! It takes up very little room on my desk while in use. The speed was impressive although for this purpose it really isn’t an issue unless I need to restore my primary or backup drives.
